Re: If You've Ever Thought "I'm Awake, Now What?" Read This!
Awesome thread OP.

According to a yogic path I learned and practice, there are four spiritual subjects we need to study, practice and learn to keep in balance:-

Knowledge: of our true identity and of the identity of Source/Creator. Becoming a spinner of the discus of self-realisation, aware of past, present and future but staying rooted to the Now.

Yoga: Meaning union - knowledge alone is a dry and so direct experience is needed, time spent in spiritual yoga (meditation) connecting to self as soul and source is needed to make it 'real'

Dharna: Meaning practice of divine virtues - operating through our qualities of peace, love, humility, tolerance, compassion etc. Every day we will be faced with challenges to overcome and situations will arise to bring up our own shadows and false beliefs. This is our battleground - destroying all that is false and returning to truth.

Servicesharing spiritual truths with others in thoughts, words and actions, with our mind, body and wealth. Taking responsibility for healing the self and sending good energy to others and the universe.

The deity Vishnu is symbolic of the four subjects: In one hand he/she is spinning the discus of self realisation in another holding a mace of self sovreinty - knowledge and yoga.

In another hand Vishnu holds a lotus flower, representing the beauty of divine qualities forged and rising from the murky muddy depths where the roots are. The other hand holds a conch shell which represents sharing spiritual truthswith others.

Thank you for your input! Although I have only scratched the surface as far as Yogic Paths are concerned, I find the teachings to resonate with me strongly.

the similarities we find with different religions/ways of life are also truths we find universally.

OP, if you haven't previously come across them, I'd respectfully suggest you check out these books, which give insight into working with Earth's other conscious beings, and with Earth herself.

"Behaving As If the God In All Life Mattered" or really, any of the others by Machaelle Small Wright. (Excerpts available on the Perelandra website.)

"Wisdom of the Gemstone Guardians" by Michael Katz

Even if someone doesn't want to work directly with the other beings, these books at least bring the reader new information about Consciousness.

I have found this to be true also and I do not identify myself with any one teaching. It is a path of truth and discovery and there are gems in every philosophy, tribe and religion. Unfortunately a lot of info has been tainted so we have to dig through a great deal of lies and indoctrination to get to the original essence of any teachings. For Christian truths I tend towards the Essene Gospels, there are some gems in there too.

I read my first Seth book 33 years ago when I was still a teenager. My dad confiscated the book and accused me of witchcraft!! [Christians...] The Nature of Personal Reality, I think it was.

I think I have all the Seth/Jane Roberts books... just did a quick count and I have 23 of them!!rockon

BTW the Sue Watkins books are good too. She was a student of Seth and wrote some books about her time in the Seth study group, (Conversations with Seth, Vol 1 & 2)

I appreciate your input! Thank you, I have not run across this book yet but as an active seeker I have a long list to add them too. they may even get bumped up the list due to the titles alone!

Our Earth has long been thought to be just a mass of elements thrown together randomly to give a rock to live on. Every single atom has consciousness, albeit different than our own

Alot of people will reject the message I come with simply because 1.I'm not affiliated with any religious group and 2. They ASSUME that I ask them to blindly discard their own to replace it with mine!

I only ask that one approach it with listening ears! It is not a call to abandon all beliefs, but to expand the existing ones we have that separate us all!

Even truthful information can be distorted (think of the telephone game) that's why we need to use our inner senses in order to feel for 'bad vibes'.

Thanks for the recommendation! have you read A COURSE IN MIRACLES? I have just recently started it but I know that is a working that some open minded Christians my be able to understand without feeling like they are dabbling in 'new age'

The Seth personality has become one of my favorites.

I resonate with this entity so much, that I am actively seeking contact with him.

I resonate with this entity so much, that I have to question some of the channels that claim to contact him, because if it doesnt 'feel' like him.

Great Teachers are such even when they are out of the 'spotlight' and they do exist independently of the instruments they use to contact us.

I read so many books that I am actually engulfed in about 3 right now at the same time.

Much love and gratitude!

Yes, indeed! I even did the entire 365-day workbook!

The only problem I have with ACIM is that it's too oversimplified. For example it often says "If you do [this] you get [that outcome.] In my experience it's just not that simple... maybe I didn't do [this] long enough or consistently enough, but it doesn't address that. And I also don't believe I'm here because of an 'error in judgment', etc. Because I distinctly remember planning this lifetime before I came here. (It all looked so easy back then!)

That said, it's a ground-breaking system of thinking, and I think everybody should experience it, and I've received great benefit from it, even tho I don't agree with every small detail.

Absolutely agree! I can't even imagine what my life would be like if I hadn't 'met' Seth at such an early age. He has been one of my greatest teachers, and had a profound effect on my life and the way I see the world.

I don't believe that any of the newer Seth channels have the real deal, but it's complicated... Maybe they have kind of a different version of Seth. Maybe they have an entity that is familiar with the Seth teachings, who temporarily adopts the Seth persona and is truly attempting to help, in the best way they know how. Then again it could be an outright fraud.

If you are serious about contacting Seth I would suggest dreamwork. Because he once said that when he could no longer communicate thru Jane Roberts he would continue teaching people, primarily thru their dreams. So if you'd utilize some self-directed dreaming, or lucid dreaming, I think your chances would greatly increase. I sincerely wish you the best of luck in your efforts!

Thank you! Yes, through dreamwork is how I've been trying to meet with him but I am making steps in my progress I have been becoming lucid in my dreams many times during the week now after working on clearing the fears that were preventing me from coming out of my body.

It's just that often I get so excited (as we all sometimes do) to be conscious in another place that I forget to 'send' intent and thought to Seth because I've taken up flying like a child!

but alas, progress is progress so I guess when I can get over the excitement of doing something I've done for eternity, then I can get my mission acomplished.

ACIM; Like I mentioned Im just getting started but I resonate strongly on the emphasis on LOVE and unconditional love and I witness miracles every day, well experience them, for some cannot be 'seen' but felt or sensed.

Looking forward to discussing further with you1

 Quoting: ThereIsOnlyONElaw

Yes it's a very fine line... you have to get excited enough to stay conscious, but not so excited that you lose focus or wake up.

Too much energy or too little energy, both cause you to lose it, takes lots of practice. I'm usually the other way (not enough energy) so I tend to slip back into normal dream mode or dreamless sleep.

For me it's like astral projection... I never seem to get it quite right, but when it works the spiritual rewards are so fantastic it makes it all worth it!

Let not one thing become a fact or truth in your mind for it will simply limit the knowledge you can gain.

Allow thoughts to flow across your brain but do not fixate on them. The impossible is possible and quite often simplicity is hidden because you search for more complex solutions.

Your mind is corrupt but your heart is pure. Your ego is hard to control, your heart is not. Your mind implants lies, your heart cannot.
