You & me could sit down and re-write the Bible to include information about modern things to make it appear to be prophecised about at the time of Christ, hide it in a cave for people thousands of years later to find and scratch their heads over too. This writing was done around 500 years after the death of Christ and a few hundred years after the emergence of Islam.

The Islamist always try to affirm their liar prophet, now they tell something about the Gospel of Barnabas. But I really want to know the writings of this Gospel.

I know all Apocrypha, I studied the scriptures of Nag Hammadi,and there is no mention of a coming prophet muhammad.

And they found the Gospel of Judas and the media thought is was the Gospel of Judas Ichariot, but those journalists of the mass media never read the Gospels, because Jesus Christ had two Apostles with the name Judas.

I was raised Baptist but I do not align with any organized religion but I am 50 now and was taught as a little girl all my life that the Quran is nothing more than a book that follows the lines of our Old Testament, thus the stoning of people and other mean things, eye offends thee pluck it out, hack off thieves fingers...ect. The Turkish media reports also said on Thursday that the Vatican has requested that Turkey allow it to examine the 1,500-year-old Bible; however, the Vatican Embassy in Ankara denied the reports on Thursday suggesting that the Vatican had asked Turkey to examine the copy of Bible in Ankara.

Aydoğan Vatandaş, a Today’s Zaman journalist and author who has written two books on the Gospel of Barnabas, said there is no clue that the Bible mentioned in the Turkish press dates back to 1,500 years ago, but he said it is sure that the Gospel of Barnabas had been written in the Aramaic language and Syriac alphabet.

“There is only one Gospel that exactly matches this definition: the ‘Gospel of Barnabas’ that was found in a cave in Uludere in Hakkari [now of Şırnak] in the early 1980s by villagers, which I told the story of first as a screenplay in 2005 for a film project, then in my novel in 2007, ‘The Secret of Gospel of Barnabas’ and my investigative journalism book, ‘Apokrifal’ in 2008.”

As a result of his research, Vatandaş said he found that this Gospel was actually preserved by the Special Armed Forces intelligence unit in the 1990s and that some parts of this Gospel were translated by an Aramaic language expert Dr. Hamza Hocagil under the control of the intelligence unit. He said Dr. Hocagil was asked to stop translating it by the Special Armed Forces when it turned out that he had shared sensitive information with journalists at the time.

“Since then we did not know where this Gospel was. After my book about the entire story of this Gospel and the criminal incidents surrounding it, the public’s interest and curiosity has increased and the Turkish military has been the target of several questions about the case. Therefore, I believe that the emergence of this Gospel again is very timely,” he said. Vatandaş also claimed that three other copies of this Gospel written by St. Barnabas are hidden in different locations in the region, so the Gospel in Ankara might be one of these as well.

Guys this is kinda stupid ...the modern bible also says it....I beleive its somewhere around John 16-18....Im paraphrasing, Jesus says I will send u a comforter and he will speak of me....he will not speak of himself but that which is dictated to him......Couple of things, The original word in the aramaic is not "comforter" but "Parqualita" which means one who praises God. That is exactly what the nmae Mohammad means. The other is that Mohammad spoke of Christ and did not preach of himself like Christ but only what was dictated to him by the angel Gabriel. So this is not new, its in the new testament

It has been mentioned in the Quran that people who wrote the Bible a while after Jesus (May peace be upon him) has left this earth that it has been altered and rewritten to fit some certain needs and Agendas of many occults. This could be a copy they forgot to destroy, the Quran talks about Jesus and his return and talks about the great deeds and what happened then. It is mentioned that Jesus talked about the Coming of prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon him) and that he would be the last of the prophets, and that also has been altered in the Bible but re-released in the Quran.

Example: In Sri-Lanka, if you go to the villages, Christians there do not drink Alcohol, do not eat pork and do not even worship a statue that is hanging on a cross because it is believed that this is wrong, they believe that Satan can control and posses pigs. Christians who live in the city do drink alcohol and eat pork and they are much more prone to corruption were the crime rate in the city is much higher. Both of them are christian but the bible in the Village says different things than the Bible in the city, how so? isn't it the same book?
