So, basically if any real doom comes, we can expect to all die in the radiated planet from the 1,000s of Nuke Plants that will be left unattended ...

very probable in a real doom situation, and also a very

NOT FUN DOOM

if the power goes out, if there is a b;ackout and the grid fails, if there is an EMP, then we have hundreds of fukushima meltdowns all at once and we would be fucked. Get rid of nuclear power, because it counts on us having at least our current level of power grid, with no problems or disruptions, for the next 60-80 just to decommission the ones we have now. Do you really think that we're goingt o be able to get through the next 60 years without any power disruptions?

Exactly, so basically regardless of doom type, soon after...

we will all be killed by massive radiation covering the earth from numerous meltdowns across the nation and world.

Yeah. It's kind of a problem. Try not to worry about it too much. Hardly anybody else does...

this.

just be reassured that if you should survive the doom, by some miracle, you won't last much longer.

it's a kindness, really.

They will melt down. That simple, there is only so much fuel to run the generators, and if an EMP hits, no way to get more fuel to them.

They will melt down.
I love physics. It bonds us eternally, it's what makes our computers work, it's what's in my morning cup of coffee, it's the thing that keeps the universe from vanishing due to lack of belief...

In the Book:
"The World without us"
this Scenario is well covered!

Everything is just the matter of Time,
it will get better already after "1,5- 2 Million Years"!
