A couple of years ago, I was flying with my daughter to Oahu for emergency surgery. She had had almost her entire skull removed already and had developed a scalp infection which created a fairly large opening directly to her brain. Obviously, she had a bandage on her head. TSA immediately whisked her aside and without gloves or any explaination, began trying to remove her bandages! (They later said they were checking for hidden explosives) I was told afterwards that they were coming up behind me with a taser because I was telling them to STOP! BTW - at the time, my daughter was 17, very petite (looked 12) with blonde hair and green eyes - you know, the real shifty Arab terrorist type.

The woman in charge is married to the first Navy S.E.A.L. to ever be assigned to Team 6 back during the Vietnam War - he just retired about 3 years ago from Naval Intelligence.

However, for their normal employees, the hiring standard is much lower. I know of a guy that was fired from McDonalds because he couldn't figure out how to operate the fryer and then fired from a pizza joint because he wouldn't do dishes and didn't know the difference between an olive and an artichoke. But, TSA hired him right away!

I'm no doctor, but why would you let your child leave the hospital without her skull? Kinda horrifying if it's true, but DAMN. I'm not leaving the hospital without MY skull. And I'm sure as hell not going through a TSA checkpoint without it.

Not that I go through them anyway. I have been boycotting air travel since shortly before the inception of the TSA.
