Moving on, as I said there is only one really bad time for humanity ahead of us now...

Climate change is real, though the actual cause has not been disclosed yet.

The orbital dynamics of our solar system are changing, and it is a part of a cycle that comes approximately every 200,000-300,000 years.

Slight changes in Earth's elliptical orbit brought on by (for now) unknown gravitational forces...

Eventually we will be dealing with brief, violent extremely hot summers, and much longer, more extreme and colder winters over the entire northern hemisphere...

In the future, our climate will have changed enough to increase demands on energy far beyond sustainable levels, growing seasons in the northern hemisphere will become increasingly shorter to the point where the vast agricultural lands will produce very little, livestock will die, people will be left in the cold and starving ultimately. The economy will collapse completely in that process, society will crumble.

There is nothing that can prevent this natural cycle.

By the end of this period we will be entering an ice age.

It is completely survivable, for those who are prepared for it...

I guess an average GLPer already kmows about climate change in the coming decades.

Ice Age is old news and and it is really happening, no mistery here and nothing new.

There are some things that are not subject to change on any and every existing and potential timeline. That said, having access to information from the future, I thought may actually help some prepare for it... Maybe I thought wrong?

We have plenty of time with this one, so it isn't urgent, I'll post the thread eventually, right now I am taking a much needed break from all of this. Also I have been asked rather forcefully to wait for a period of time... Not sure why, there isn't anything anyone can do about this one... As always, timing is important or so I'm told.

There is good information here already... Right now our current timeline is still chaotic, and in flux, ripple effects are ongoing and can show up anywhere on the timeline.

There will be some intense climate related events through the fall into winter that will have the PTB demanding answers from the scientific community... I am thinking that would be a good time for the thread.

We have at least 3 years before it all gets really ugly, then progressively worse through the end of the next decade from now.

So chill out... Bad choice of words... Relax for now...

I was thinking that this MERS that is spreading in the middle east might have something to do with OP's initial story.It is supposed to have 66% fatality rate which is pretty high, there is going to be a crowd of a million Muslims packed into a small space....

The end point for all humans is the same, but the road to get there can be very divergent.
OP is either plugged in, in the know, or both.

A collective choice was made. This choice is not the wrong one, it is merely a choice that leads down a certain path.
The choice however can be viewed as "wrong" in the context of the current state of humanity and their predilections and desires. It is also wrong in the sense that it has removed the possibility of timelines that allowed still further choices. The collective fell on its face trying to take the first step.

From an absolute perspective there are no wrong choices since all roads lead to the same end-point eventually. However, some roads are paved and get you to your destination quickly. Other roads are grassy meadows where you get respite for a time. And still other roads have jagged rocks that cut you to pieces and seem to never end. From the experiential perspective there are most definitely more pleasant and advantageous choices.

The shame is that once a choice has been made it cannot be rethought or posed again. One of the great shames of the human condition. Certain choices are billions of years in the setting up, only to have idiocy triumph in the end. Then the idiots high five - another curiosity of the human condition. They are high fiving choosing destruction and unbelievable suffering. But that's humans for you.

I can't tell you the choice that was made. Search your spirit you can probably discover it. Maybe discovery will allow you to opt out of the collective and change your fate? Who knows. This world will remain an amazing and magical place.

That time is unfortunately here, and there isn't anything at the moment that can be done about it. Too many interventions, too many unresolved outcomes.

There are too many potentially devastating outcomes with this now, it could lead to the mother of all wars if appropriate actions are not immediately taken, there is no past intervention that can work now, only in the present... And there isn't much time left.

I wish I could say more, but can't without consequences.

Even if no one reads this, I needed to say something.

If we get past this time, and through some climate related events in the fall into the winter, I will post that thread as promised.
