Please I need a Math Guru
I am ashamed to admit I am 51 years old and I can not figure out this problem. Between SSDI and Aetna private Disability Insurance they have me so screwed up I can't figure out what the right answer to the question is.Although I have thought they might be changing the question the closer I get. LOL

Anyway I will type it out if anyone can help me understand what they want from me and when they will decide I have repaid them enough and can start getting paid the money they owe me. Thanks in advance. I am going nuts here.

Thanks for the reply. I could afford to pay you if the weasels would start paying me again. At this moment in time unless you want my first born child I can't swing it.

I do appreciate you taking the time to answer though. I think I am making this harder than it has to be but they have me so confused I am lost.

Im a college grad but not a genius. I am willing to help though. Let's have the question.
If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.

Aetna claims they have overpaid me for 10 months on private disability. Today they told me that they should have paid me 863.88 on top of the money I am getting from SSDI. So I have to figure out when this overpayment will balance out.

In the months of Jun 2010,JUL 2010,AUG 2010,SEPT2010, OCT 2010,NOV 2010,DEC 2010,JAN 2011 and FEB 2011 they paid me 2433.88.per month

At the same time SSDI paid me 1471.00 for the same months.

Then in March of 2011 Aetna said oh hell we messed up so we will only pay you 238.44 a month from now on. In December of 2011 they quit paying me the 238. as well.

I was on the phone with them for hours and now they are telling me that once the overpayment is paid off they will pay me 868.70 a month on top of the SSDI.

Aetna thought I was being paid 2400 a month by SSDI. I was paid 1471.00. So how do I figure out when I will have this paid off? Part of me says the 868 should have been paid all along, but I am not sure if I have to deduct the 233.48 they paid me once they realized they screwed up.

Should have paid more attention in economics class. Thanks anyway

Re: Please I need a Math Guru
It does seem the $2,433 they paid you was $1,000 too much for 9 months. As a simple add-subtract problem if it is a dollar-for-dollar conversion that would be about 4 months before they will resume sending you a check.
