Subject NO job is beneath me — yet, I'm unable to land anything!

So, here's my quick story.

My unemployment has run out, and my savings are drained.

I'm getting extremely worried about how I'm going to pay for anything, food being the most important thing right now.

I normally work in hospitality as a cook, but I have been applying at all sorts of jobs; everything and anything I can think of because this time of year is slow when it comes to restaurants hiring new staff—at least in my neck of the woods.

I'm willing to clean shitty toilets, I'm willing to even flip burgers at fast food joints (even though I'd prefer to work in higher end restaurant kitchens). I'm willing to clean houses, paint fences, be a clerk at a gas station.

But no luck.

Before I got into cooking, I was in IT and that work history is still present on my resume. I'm beginning to think it's working against me.

I get rejection letter after rejection letter (or emails). Most of the time, I get no responses. When I do get a response, it's usually "you're overqualified."

I'm 33 years old, so it's not my age.

I'm someone who wants to work, who is willing to take just about any job I can get, but this economy is fucking me over.

I get irritated on here sometimes when I read about people telling others to take whatever job they can find and stop being lazy.

Well, I'm one of those people who is trying to land any job, but with no luck.

What the fuck is going on?

If I don't find something soon, I may be living in my car.
