Your first and biggest mistake is sending out resumes. Nobody reads them! Every douchebag in America has a resume and every god damned one of them is a lame boilerplate copy of the one before it. Quoting: BuzzKill I'm not just sending resumes out like a cold call or something. I'm filling out applications (in-person and online). If they ask for a resume, I'll give them one. But it's not the focal point of my job search. It's application after application after application. I have a great work history, good references, but I'm clearly doing something wrong like you said. I don't know what, though.
