I am noticing a huge assumption being made here by most GLPers who are responding to OP. That is to assume that when someone claims to be "different" they are claiming to be "superior". From the responses that I have read so far that assumption is not founded on any reasonable evidence. In fact, I suspect (note I said 'suspect' not 'know' or 'believe') that those attacking OP are reacting defensively from a sense of 'inferiority'.

In my humble observation, the responders to this thread are providing evidence to support OP's original position, that rhesus negative individuals get attacked and accused of 'wanting to be special' as well as the other talk of being reptilian or evil.

From a health care perspective, I believe that these differences do need to be noted, investigated, and responded to, for the benefit of the health needs of those people who do have rhesus negative blood. This has already been done extensively with regard to pregnancy but there are other health issues where there are implications for people with rhesus negative blood.

Okay, I know this because I am of rhesus negative blood type myself and I offer the following example of a time that my health care has been compromised by non-recognition of these differences.

My average body temperature is 35.6 celsius. When I am ill and suspect that I have a fever and possibly an infection I go to my GP for help. My GP takes my temperature which is usually about 39 or 40 celsius and tells me that my temperature is 'normal' and therefore I do not have a fever and no cause for concern. Because I only attend my GP when I am unwell, his/her records of my temperature are going to show higher than average for me, so no difference noted. In fact, my body temperature has reached 3 to 4 degrees celsius above what is 'average' for me and I am indeed very unwell. I then develop worsening symptoms until I have a well established infection, say kidney infection, that a urine test or blood test would have picked up on earlier if the doctor had asked for one, back when I first went for help.

I hope that helps to add understanding of the situation of rhesus negative people to those who think we just want to feel 'special'.

Absolutely me too, with the low body temp and "normal" temp when I have a fever. (BTW, "normal" temp is 37 degrees Celsius, so 39 or 40 would actually be quite feverish.) Except I'm O+, so, well, there goes that theory...

yes, I have a body temp of 97.1 as my normal and I am 0+

You can still have these traits being of rhesus positive blood...LIKE I SAID (attempting to scream it now bc YOUR NOT LISTENING) you as a positive can carry the - traits if the - traits are passed even from a positive person (everyone has TWO) StopYellingDouch
