Okay, here I am going to try again to compile the Astrology connections from the bible. I am going to try to take from the last thread, as well as other posts from around abouts the forum.
Taken from the original thread and compiled here:
Thread: The Bible as Astrology 12 disciples / 12 tribes = 12 signs of the zodiac
Dies on cross, dead for 3 days = the Sun dies on the Southern Cross, stutters, and seems to 'die' for three days before 'rising' again towards longer days again
Procession of the equinoxes:
golden calf is destroyed = Age of Taurus
sacrifice of the ram instead of isaac = Age of Aries
jesus and his fish = Age of Pisces
man bearing pitcher enters temple is end of the age = Age of Aquarius
three gifts to jesus = orion's belt? lots of discussion on this one
the 'star' under which he was born = a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn
JOB 38-31--“Canst thou bind the sweet influences of the Pleiades or loose the bands of Orion?".
AMOS 5:8--"Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into morning, and maketh day dark with night: that calleth forth the waters of the sea, and pour them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name!"
Seven sisters = continual references to 7 in revelation; There are SEVEN churches, SEVEN Spirits, SEVEN stars, SEVEN seals, SEVEN trumpets, SEVEN vials, SEVEN personages, SEVEN dooms, and SEVEN new things. The number 7 is used over 700 times in the bible
Psalm 19
1The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2Day unto day [it] uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
"There shall be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars." - Jesus Christ, Luke 21:25
"And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as SIGNS to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the Earth." And it was so." (Gen. 1:14-15)
Genesis 28:12
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. [stars... a nebula?]
666 is 6.66 degrees, the star patten Draco the dragon
Pi=3.14 and 22/7 - Pi figures prominently in astrological calculations, especially regarding the life of Jesus...It was at Jesus' baptism that he 'came out of the water' virtually illuminated and transformed (Cosmic Consciousness).
This event suggests allegorical content regarding the ancient method (Old Testament) of 'progressing a birth chart' one day for every year. A birth chart dating Jesus birth to Feb 18th at 9:05 p.m. 5 BC, when progressed 'almost 30' days has the Sun (Son) coming out of the waters of Pisces into the fire and light of Aries (a solar sign) which is the time of 'new beginnings'. It was at this point, in time, that Jesus began his ministry which lasted for 3.14 (Pi) years and which mirrors the length (in degrees) of the leading cusp of Aries.
The life of Christ, when the errors are discovered and corrected in the Gregorian calendar, duplicates (in years) the number of days that it takes for the sun to transit through the sign of Pisces and to continue through the Pisces/Aries cusp..... for a total of 33.14 days. The life of Christ, was 33.14 years and mirrors exactly, the sun's journey through the 12th astrological house (according to the ancient astrological model) of 'self undoing' and 'secret enemies' and a subsequent 'rebirth' as the Sun ('Son') exits Pisces and enters Aries.
An astronomical metaphor regarding the birth of Christ is used in the gospel of Luke (2:8) which mentions "shepherds watching their flock by night"-The name "planet" is from the Greek word for "wanderer". The planets "wander" or move across the heavens across the backdrop of the fixed stars. The ancient Sumerians referred to the planets as "those which are shepherded (sheep)" by the Sun. (Note: A close review of translated Sumerian "tablets" also indicates that the Sumerians were aware of a Sun centered solar system long before the arrival of Western Man.)
A "wise man", or "stargazer" (astronomer/astrologer) versed in the astrological practices of the ancient Sumerians would recognize this verse ("Shepherds in the fields watching their sheep.") as a "signal" incorporating astronomical symbolism making reference to astronomers "watching their flock by night" (star gazing) and witnessing the changing of the Age from Aries to Pisces.
Christ's "hidden life" existed for 18 years. Nothing is written in the gospels about Jesus Christ after his visit to the Temple when he was 12 years of age up until his (almost 30) 30th year when he was baptized by John. For a total of 18 years there is a "blank" which has caused many scholars to speculate upon what may have happened during this time period. An astronomical/astrological event parallels the "gap of 18 years". The Sun actually "leaves the zodiac" for 18 days (annually) while it is transiting (crossing) the astrological sign of Scorpio (the third water sign). During this 18 day period the Sun is outside of the boundaries of the traditional zodiac and enters the constellation of Ophiuchus (The Serpent Bearer). In a sense, the Sun (Son) is "missing" for a period of 18 days, like the Christ was "missing" for a period of 18 years.
Note: This 18 day/year similarity also underscores the "day for a year' method (Old Testament) of progressing a star chart.Symbolically, the Sun's leaving the watery sign of Scorpio to enter the "airy" region of "The Serpent Bearer" (Ophiuchus) is a perfect metaphor for "walking on the water" (crossing over the top of Scorpio, a water sign) and mirrors one of Christ's great miracles.
The twelve stones on Jacobs robe(and later, according to some, Jesus as well wore the same) were always attributed to the Twelve tribes of Israel w/e. But this garb may come from the Church of the Nazarenes training an An or what was later called Heliopolis. An ancient cult center that was devoted to the knowledge of the cosmological world. Jesus was part of a very sacred and ancient sect called the Nazarene, who were most definitely heavily influenced by the Egyptian Amara Age, and for sure took the introduction of monotheism out of Egypt with Moses and carried on those traditions and a lot of the importance placed on the knowledge from the golden age. The Egyptians always placed heavy emphasis on the Cosmos.
Two magi? maybe.... :)In archetypal astrology the 4th house is the house of the mother (astrological sign of Cancer) the beginning of which also marks the place where the Sun "stands still" at the summer solstice.
The time of the summer solstice marks the day with the greatest amount of light in the northern hemisphere. The date for the summer solstice, at the time of Christ, was June 25th.The astrological sign that the Sun leaves to enter the 4th house is Gemini (The Twins).
The astronomical/astrological "code" shows the Christ (the Son/Sun) with his mother (in the 4th house - the ancient astrological house of The Great Mother - The astrological sign of Cancer - the house of the "psychological base" in contemporary astrology) as the Magi (approaching "from the East") found the Christ (Sun / Son) and is a perfect symbolic "picture" of the Sun between the signs of Gemini (the twins) and the sign of Cancer (the Mother) which occurs precisely at the time of the summer solstice when the Sun "stands still".The symbolism fits - suggesting that the Magi were two in number (the Twins/Gemini). ( Not that the Magi were actually "twins" but that they were two of the "same thing" ). Could the Magi have "located" the Christ child (revealed the location) at the time of the summer solstice in 5 BC, and that the Magi (like the solstices) were (are) two in number?
"Thus does the zodiac continue in the New Testament, and the four points in the tabernacle of Moses and the four cherubs of Ezekiel's wheels are repeated in the four Gospels or Evangels of the New Testament. In fact, the book of Ezekiel is pure astrology. Ezekiel, in his vision, sees in sublime form the Lords of the signs of the zodiac, the revolving planets, the constellations, and the angels of the four points -- the elements; in Aquarius, the man; Taurus, the ox; Leo, the lion; and Scorpio, the eagle. The cross in Astrology, is the horizon axis which marks east-west and the MC/IC axis (North or Zenith, and South or Nadir). Planets that appear on or very close to these points take the highest of precedence in chart interpretation i.e., they have more weight and significance. source: [

The constellation Draco goes down while the sun rises. (the serpent thrown down into the abyss)
Aries the lamb rises at... easter.
At the fall equinox, the 'virgin' gives birth to the lion [of judah], which is the rising of the sun[son].

I'm a few pages in. I will try to compile more later. Hopefully this thread will remain on track with ASTROLOGY IN THE BIBLE.
There's lots of other stuff in there; alchemy, etc. But I'd like to focus on astrological references and connections. Thanks!
