To the jack asses that want is to take up arms.
This is not 1770 where we are all fighting with musket-load shoulder cannons and have allied monarchies willing to put out navies.
You have this expectation we are to commit suicide against a battle-hardened military and its supporting infrastructure. Running around with our 30-06s and 12-gauge shotguns.
You charge the gate of Fort Bragg and see how far you get.

First of all, the United States has the World's largest civilian pool of combat veterans on earth. 2nd, we're the most heavily armed nation on earth. The civilian population here maintains more arms than all the world's armies COMBINED! And unlike Iraq, we have lots and lots of people who are true marksmen. During the cold war the Russians had a plan to drop airborne troops into the southern reaches of Canada and invade the Nothern most part of the US. The plan was scuttled not because of the US Army or Airforce but because the Russians themselves knew their troops would be wiped out within weeks because of Americans and their rifles.
