That this guy died over a stolen bag of cookies is pretty outrageous. I'm pretty law and order but the cops went over the line here.

The young guy was obviously high on something or having a psychotic breakdown, but he was unarmed, shirtless, at 5:30AM on otherwise empty streets, and he only boosted a bag of cookies.

People that walk around without shits on deserve to be tazed anyway...

Roberto Laudisio Curti was a MIDDLE CLASS Brazilian boy, 21 years old.

He studied business administration in PUC, one of the best private Universities of Brazil.

He decided to interrupt his college, and go to Australia to study English. His family had enough money to pay for his studies in Australia. He was in Australia with a student visa.



Last Saturday night, he was drunk, something that is not unusual in Australia, specially in a Saturday night.

It was a hot summer night (it was still summer in the Southern Hemisphere). Roberto was drunk and shirtless in a street of Sydney, in a hot summer night. That was his "crime".

Someone robbed a packet of biscuits in a nearby store, and the owner called the police, but there is no proof that the robber was Roberto. He had nothing in his hands when the police found him. No biscuits.

He was tasered to death by coward cops, while screaming for help.



He was a drunk 21-year-old boy sunddenly attacked by cops in a foreign country, with no idea of WHY he was being attacked. He kicked and screamed, like 90% of people would do in a similar situation.

The SIX cops were not MEN enough to restrain and handcuff the drunk boy, without electrocute him to death.

21 yo man, psychotic, loose on the streets. If your job was to subdue him and get him under control, a taser seems the right choice to me. Unfortunate that he died. Perhaps he was on drugs that contributed to cardiac irritability. Can't let him continue off. Perhaps he got too much GLP.
