punished, will then launch a First Strike against the
US and also Russia.

It is a real can of worms.

Intellectually Israel realizes that a massive First
Strike that kills a billion people or so WILL PROBABLY
REQUIRE the big powers to take it out too...and thus
intelligence indicates that it has planned for a First
Strike against the US in addition (and by assumption
against Russia).

What a nightmare.

People who do not understand the Game Theory behind
Nuclear War probably will just scream at me for
posting this...but this is solid game theory as
nuclear war has been strategized for decades.

Heaven help everyone...even those of us in the US if
Israel launches a massive First Strike against a
billion people...since the US will be next on it's
list of targets....the GAME calls for it."

Russia has officially somewhere around 15,000 incl the stockpiles that are not on alert. Unofficially, another several thousand tactical nukes, mines, shells, that Robert Gates talked about that "even they (the Russians) do not how many and where they are". So let say somewhere around 20,000 total. Yes the number is much bigger than the declared STRATEGIC weapons on alert status ready for launch, that are in thousands only.

India and Pakistan build up at fast speed. Also does China.

So whom should Israel strike if what is written above is correct? And with how many nukes - thousands?

I don't think the expressed view of Israel danger N1 is realistic. It is suicidal. More realistic are other scenarios. For ex. regional war that goes wider, and at one moment one of the superpowers strikes the other. The Soviet doctrine was for a winnable nuclear war - pls check internet it is there. VRYAN surprise attack etc.
