Dont allow your cat to stand in the bathtub and sip the soapy water from around the drain. At least thats what used to make my cat sick with rhea. I didn't know until i witnessed the cat doing it.

my cat has been doing that for 15 years, its their job.

if she is doing it every day then I would take her to the vet

Find a food with no CORN should be meat sourced.

She has always had explosive diarrhea like 90% of the time... but now she has explosive diarrhea then right after that she gets out of the litter box and pukes all over... she is 17 years old

My cat doesn't have diarrhea but pukes at least twice a day. He is only about a year and half.
I just had him at the vet last week and he is healthy and fine. I guess he vomits in the floor just to piss me off.

You need to take your cat to the animal hospital if you care for it

Your cat may have parvo which would kill it

My other cat almost never pukes...

They need wet and dry food

Its been doing this for 17 years... if it has parvo its slow acting lol

She gets really bad gas with wet food... so its bad gas, explosive diarrhea, and vomiting..

Same here. I have two boy cats both about a year and half old and one pukes daily and the other I have seen him puke maybe twice in his life.
I keep them inside always. The one that pukes was a stray but I brought him inside permanently when he was only about 2 months old. He just visited the vet and hes healthy. The other cat that never pukes has never been outside as I owned the female that gave birth to him and then she passed away.

Both my cats are fixed, never go outside, and have had all shots.

Months with the combo of explosive diarrhea and barfing right after.. before that she still had the explosive diarrhea every day of her life for 17 years, but would only vomit like 5 days a week lol...
She has always had a bad belly. its just getting on my nerves now.

My cat (18lbs) drops cables that could clear out the house. I can literally be 4 rooms away and immediately know he just took a shit. Makes me physically gag.

If it had parvo , trust me it would have died a long time ago. Parvo only takes a few days to kill.

Your cat is getting really old but you should take it to the vets for sure. You may have to change it's food. Is kitty real skinny ? Sounds like nothing stays in her/him and that's not good. Alot of times simply changing it's food will get rid of it but the vet needs to tell you what type of food will change this. I worked 3 years with animals so I see this happen and food change usually does the trick, even on older cats.

No she isint real skinny. I think she is about normal for a spayed cat.. (12-15 lbs)
She pukes less with shittier food (eg science diet) that has all the stuff thats supposed to be bad for them. (wheat, corn)

I'm not taking her to the vet for this when its been happening her whole life. They are just going to tell me she has IBS or something anyways.

The dry food alone is NOT good for them. Blue buffalo's an excellent brand but provide some canned food, too. Dry food (even a brand as good as BB) is basically not what they're wired to eat. Real meat via a good quality canned food will help.

Cat may have worms. Take it to the vet. The diarrhea is not normal nor is the vomiting--worms or an infection is my guess.
