A renewed alliance between Damascus and the PKK would anger Turkey and could prompt it to take an even stronger line against Syrian President Bashar Assad over his brutal repression of anti-government protesters. Syrian has mutual military alliance with Iran and as such any country invading Syria and at the request of Syrian government will have to face Iran and I guarantee you 100% Turkey dose not want to anger Iran or get into a conflict with a middle eastern super-power. |

It's coming down to an open 'every man for himself' fracturing on the international stage as new nations are born, old one's freed, existing one's disintegrate and split up, and so on.
