Air Canada Going Down! Or Government Takeover?

I was just browsing Air Canada's executive salaries...most keep going up, but see 'Other' column - almost $14 Million dollars.

In a nutshell, the Canadian government has announced that Air Canada services are essential and workers are not allowed to strike.

Quite a few pilots called in sick and the reason was due to stress. Now the workers have illegally walked off the job because three workers were recently suspended for 'sarcastically' clapping a government official who was visiting the airport.

Air Canada has been losing money for years now and I suspect the government will have to step in because you can't get blood from a stone (working class/taxpayers = stones).

Earlier Thursday, angry Air Canada workers rallied in front of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's constituency office in Calgary to send him what they called a symbolic message.
