November Tornados Sweep Across Iowa!!! Whole Towns Destroyed!!!

There was a tornado in Hamilton Ontario this week. From my understanding, both Iowa and Ontario have climates that are not usually conducive of producing hurricanes in November.

This is not an average November. It was 69 here today, normal for us would have been 49. There are still leaves on some of the trees.

We´ve also got another wind storm forecast for tomorrow.

Very, very heavy winds here in southeastern MN too. It´s like whistling dixie outside, the winds are so strong that they can be heard whistling and rustling in the trees and around objects.

I know tornados are not normal this late in the year, and that the weather has been strangely odd. I´m not complaining about the weather at all, because I really dont like the cold. But yes, it is highly abnormal for mid-November.

I´m sorry to hear of the destruction that has swept through Iowa.

Has Iowa always been in tornado alley?

I believe they are actually. Tornados are reported in every month of the year in the US. They only make the news when they are killing people or causing damage.

The one that swept through Indiana two weeks ago wasn´t normal either.

Even powerful F5 tornados have been reported as late as December and as far back as the 1950´s.

There is a Trop. Storm forming off Barbados. More rough weather heading to mainland USA.
