END OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT........I DON'T THINK SO!
There has been a lot of talk that Obama will try and end the 2nd amendment.

That fast and furious was a ploy to end our right to own and carry a weapon.

I don't think so. As Americans, we tend to be lazy about getting riled up over our freedoms being taken away. Maybe from too much flouride, or too much programming.

But I think if you try and take our guns from us......there would be a revolution. I also think Obammy knows this. If there is one thing us Americans love...it's our guns.

So in my opinion, there will be no threat to our 2nd amendment anytime soon.

I just think Americans love their guns too much to just stand by and let them take em.

Re: END OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT........I DON'T THINK SO!
I think you're looking at this issue from a linear standpoint. 25,000 gun laws were meant to chip away at the 2nd Amendment and create a negative mindset about guns in the culture. Its worked to a large degree.

The real battle for the 2nd Amendment will come as things collapse and people start killing one another. Because our minds have already been ingrained with the negatives about guns, most of the population won't look at the lives and personal property being saved but all the killing instead. And since we've already allowed the passage of thousands of anti-gun laws all of us are already used to the government establishing some type of gun control measures.

All may seem well but in fact we're one crisis away from major changes.

Re: END OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT........I DON'T THINK SO!
The second amendment is about the right to defend yourself, specifically from government with the weapon of your choice. The treasonous criminals in Washington DC can do all they want to force the issue, but if you give them your weapons just because they pass some unconstitutional law, you are the one who gave up your rights.

Even if confronted by an overwhelming force, if you have done no wrong and lay down your arms just because some jackboot with a megaphone and a bunch of tin badge lackies tells you to, well then you never really understood the whole reason for the second amendment in the first place.

The federal government does go after individuals and very small groups who are (or can be painted as) criminal threats. That's not the same thing as taking guns by force from large groups of innocent people, let alone the whole country. There are millions of citizens, thousands of local sheriffs, hundreds of mayors, and more than at least half of the 50 governors that won't stand for it.

I agree there, I know they want to eventually outlaw guns. I just think they have a long way to go before they can do it. I think there would be a revolution if they tried to take our guns.

When TPTB say they are thinking of outlawing some fabric used to cover chairs, people avoid buying those chairs because it's a waste of money if they have to eventually get rid of them.

When TPTB say they are thinking of outlawing guns people tend to flock to buy guns.

What does that tell you?

Progressives have certainly tried to create a negative mindset. Eric Holder's own words a few years ago are proof that they would like to, but I disagree that that has worked to a large degree.

If that were so, then gun sales wouldn't be at record highs and continuing to increase. If that were so, the cool factor of the heroes in popular movies and TV shows wouldn't be mowing down bad guys faster than the US military in a war zone. Seriously, done a body count during your favorite TV show or movie lately? The lead is flying on the screen and people are laying down cash to get their little piece of popularity.

Several new TV shows are actually popularizing guns and gun owners. Top Shots, Red Jacket, Doomsday Preppers, Doomsday Bunkers, American Guns... and these are Discover Channel and National Geographic shows!

Beyond that, many states have passed new laws protecting both gun ownership and self defense. That would not be so if they had been successful at creating a negative mindset.

Nope, gun popularity and gun ownership is growing not waning.

I can tell you one thing, if the Feds think they can come take peoples guns from around where I live, it will turn into a standoff between the feds and the local sheriffs department. I am sure this is the case for many many counties and parishes across the USA as well.
It is, to me, sad how fast people forget the FOUNDATIONS of our fine country! This country was built by an armed population capable of fending for themselves, and will be lost by couches full of potato-sheeple riding their 52" HD-LEDTV's into the orwellian sunset. :(

Guns are now illegal if you are caught possessing a gun you will receive 10 years in prison first offense...anyone with children will immediately lose them as result of this child endangerment. A 500 dollar reward will be given for anyone reporting and leading to the arrest of anyone with a gun....If the wives don't make ya give em up, your neighbors will...It would be as simple as that but most will give them up without that extreme as we see in this video
