Supporters of George Zimmerman Fearful of Speaking Out

Martin’s supporters believe race played a role in the shooting. Martin was black; Zimmerman’s father is white and his mother is Hispanic.

“The family has had death threats, the father and mother, George has had death threats. Anything related to George is a target,” said Miguel Meza, who identified himself as Zimmerman’s cousin.

I'm sure that this guy wishes he was just arrested so that none of this ever even came to center stage. If he really is innocent, he would have gone through the system and had nothing to worry about.

The teenager was suspended from school three times this year. In October, he wrote obscene graffiti on a door at his high school. During a search of his backpack, campus security officers found 12 pieces of jewelry, a watch and a screwdriver that they thought could be used as a burglary tool, according to a school police report obtained by the Miami Herald.

Series of break-ins in the neighborhood and Martin is snooping around at night in the rain. Not to mention the fact that he obviously had stolen jewelry on him at school. Not that hard to figure out in my opinion...

This uproar was started by mistake. Someone up the government chain saw the name Zimmerman and thought he was white and didn't check pictures etc. Turned out he.s hispanic/white with close black friends. They started and they apparently decided to bull on through even though there is no justification. They'll probably succeed unless God chooses to blow up their scheme and let the people have one more chance to see the truth of things before he completely destroys us.

Agreed that it shouldn't have gotten so much notariety in the first place.
But that won't help now...
It's out there and people are pissed. To the point of going out looking for someone to take their anger out on.
Going into Walgreens to wreck the joint...why?
Posting Zimmerman's address for what reason? The only reason I can think is so that people can take up vigilante justice. Wasn't even the right address...so now some elderly couple fear for their lives.

People need the facts...and the media isn't delivering. They've caused a massive clusterfuck and can't fix it.

One thing more I just thought of. The media always jump on these situations whole hog to stir things up and keep them going. THE NEWS MEDIAS MAIN INCOME IS FROM ADVERTISING AND THEY CHARGE FOR ADVERTISING BASED ON VIEWERS/READERS. These kind of situations jump their audiences(rates)astromoically. DO THEY CHARGE ADVERTISERS SPECIAL HIGHER RATES WHILE THESE SITUATIONS ARE GOING ON?

Why would anybody support a murderer?

I would like to know how many times Trayvon had been to visit his father in the gated community and if any of those times coincide with the previous robberies. I am not saying they do. Perhaps he had never been to visit his father at that location before at all. But Zimmerman claims he saw him looking into houses and there had been previous robberies - in a gated community where it is much harder to have just anyone off the street come rob people who live there. Someone had access. It should be checked out.

Nobody would support a murderer. People do support someone acting in self defense. People do support getting ALL the facts from all sides before spearheading a witch hunt as was done to Zimmerman, by people with a race agenda.

This girl went off on me when I told her that they were fighting.she doesnt even know that the zimmerman is Hispanic. If you have the race wrong how could you possibly have the story right? And being at a hbcu their having a march for the boy smh.

The only thing I can imagine people being critical of is Zimmerman not being taken into custody and tried before a jury to see if he really is innocent.
This doesn't reflect badly on Zimmerman, but on the police. It's still a mystery to me as to why people aren't more enflamed about the way the police has handled this.
Then again...they didn't even know who Zimmerman killed until days later.

This is a tough case in which to determine fault. I don't think all the facts are out yet, since the case is still being investigated. So, it still bothers me that everyone is talking as if they KNOW Zimmerman in fact murdered this kid or that Martin WAS a thug or theif.

When this story first emerged, the only facts I had were that a white guy shot a small black kid who only had candy on his person. Then, the white guy turned into a hispanic who shot a 6 ft 2 young adult on school suspension for drugs and potentially stolen jewelry.

That just shows how much the outcome can change with a couple facts. And I guaruntee that those aren't all the facts. Whether it hurts or helps Zimmerman, there will be more that comes to light.

First off, let's stop with it's just a Black thing because it's been used for way to long. Second where is the marching and the giant uproar when young Blacks gun down other youndg Blacks for nothing? Where is the Black sisses (Panthers), Rev. Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson? The 3 biggest bigots in the world. I don't see them out trying to stop the violence, but instead promoting it. You only see them when they have a chance to come out and try to lynch a person who looks white in color. It's sad that the young man died. No one should have had to die. Then again no one really knows what happened? You just don't arrest someone because you want him detained. You need evidence. He also had a witness that same night that saw the whole thing that backs up his story.

The whitness clearly stated that George Zimmerman did not have a mark on him, which contradicts what he told police, the video of him getting out of the police car also shows no sign of a fight or struggle, unlike George's fairytale states. And the fact that Trayvon Martin got in trouble at school doesn't mean shit! George Zimmerman was told not to follow him, but yet he continued to basically stalk Trayvon. George Zimmerman's Sanford, Fla., neighbor, said the neighborhood watchman protected his residence from a potential burglary several weeks before the shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Frank Taaffe, a former neighborhood watch captain, told CNN that his house was in the process of being robbed on Feb. 2, but Zimmerman called Sanford police, who thwarted the robbery.




"My house was being robbed, and George on his nightly rounds watched this burglary in progress, called Sanford P.D., waited for them, and helped ensure that nothing bad happened to my house," Taaffe said. "And it's documented in the 911 call for February 2. That was my residence that George Zimmerman helped stop." Zimmerman shot and killed Martin on Feb. 26.

"Neighbor-hood, that's a great word," Taaffe said.

Taaffe said that "young black males" were the perpetrators in the attempted robbery of his home. "We had eight burglaries in our neighborhood all perpetrated by young black males in the 15 months prior to Trayvon being shot," Taaffe said. "It would have been nine."

Taaffe denied that he told the New York Times that burglaries were done by "Trayvon-like dudes with their pants down."

A gunman opened fire at 11 a.m. today inside an East Harlem pharmacy, but was later killed, according to the NYPD.

Police shot and killed the alleged shooter, Rudolph Wyatt, 23, moments after he started shooting, cops said. But an accomplice who was with him remains on the loose.

The two men entered the pharmacy, located at 2325 1st Avenue, to rob it at around 11 a.m., said cops. They took cash and pills from the store. Police arrived on the scene as the men were exiting the store. One of the men put his hands up, but Wyatt pulled his gun out and started shooting, said police.

He shot at the police officers, missing them. Cops returned fire, police said.


A retired police officer who just happened to be across the street at a BP gas station putting gas in his car also shot at the alleged thief.

Wyatt was killed in the shooting, although it is unclear whose bullet killed him. His body was lying under a blue tarp on the corner of First Avenue and 119th Street. Cops are still investigating.

I don't think supporters are fearful of speaking out. You should see Facebook. It is swarmed with ppl on both sides. Yes even black ppl supporting him and arguing that the facts prove his innocence. Don't think just bc some one is black that they are automatically against zimmerman. I've noticed a huge change of opinions that started with he needs to go to jail to, either now they're on the fence or think he's innocent. What caused the change?? The facts coming out. It's sad that ppl had to pull the race card. But thats unfortunately the only way to get black ppl together. Too bad it looks dumb now that the man is Hispanic. Everyone just wants to be a part of something. It's sad that they choose issues that they know but only a few facts abt to protest. Shame on you protesters
