Gnosticism, Essenes and Secret Teachings of Jesus
Gnosticism is more purely dualistic than the Christianity that has come down to us, and links more clearly with the Essene world view and the source of Judaism, Zoroastrianism. The world is the creation of the evil spirit but humans have a spark of divine light in them. The Essenes saw men as having different proportions of good and evil in them, but even the most evil man could be saved by choosing righteousness. For Gnostics, salvation was through divine knowledge which allowed the spark of divinity to ignite. For Christians, it was purely through faith in the return of Christ at his Parousia.

The spread of Christianity is aptly described by the metaphor of the Gnostic “spark.” The Hellenized Jews fled from Judaea into the empire each carrying a spark that could ignite a new religion. Each place where a bright spark landed a new fire burned, but all differed through the lack of any central authority.

Evangelists like Paul tried to impress this mosaic of people with their own coherent interpretation, and the initial phase of Universal Christianity will have been a condensation of disparatcuntrpretations into areas of more unified doctrine. In the next 100 years they evolved in different directions, and only in the second century did the Roman Church succeed in asserting its central authority.

All this had to be done in secrecy from the authorities for whom Jesus had died a rebel, whatever Christians ancient or modern might have thought. Those supporting a rebel could only be seen as rebels themselves—traitors or potential traitors—and so Christians were distrusted by Romans and Jews alike. By disguising itself as a mystery, Christianity could suppress the truth about their Saviour until a novice had been suitably indoctrinated.

Remember, too that the strongest motivation for these people was that they expected the world to end soon! The Romans thought they were intent on bringing it about, whereas most Christians were probably content to wait for their Saviour to return on a cloud, and meanwhile to decide how they should behave to avoid an unfavourable judgement when he arrived. Later, they were more inclined to be aggressive against the Pagan religions they convinced themselves were devilish, and therefore provided grist for the mill of Roman distrust.

Robert L Wilkins (The Myth of Christian Beginnings, Doubleday 1979) says bluntly:

There was no original Christian faith… no definitive statement of the meaning of Christ for all times… Christians said one thing while going ahead and doing something else.

Myths and Secrets
The teaching of the various Gnostic sects was not well known until the discovery of the Nag Hammadi cache of Gnostic texts, and even now, no one is saying they understand it. Previously, what was known depended entirely on the biased and fragmentary refutations of Fathers of the Church. The Fathers greatly misrepresented the Gnostics. Gnosticism was itself sub-divided into more than fifty sects, each with its own bishops, organizations, and accepted books, and each with some divergency of doctrine from the others. From that mass of doctrines, surviving only in fragmentary forms, the principal theories held by early Christians have been deduced, and the rise and fall of Gnostic Christianity roughly dated.

Gnosticism dates from the first century BC, and was originally a Theosophic movement, which attempted to reconcile diverse elements such as Judaism, Greek philosophy, Iranian metaphysics, and aspects of mythology. From this blend sprang a Gnostic Christianity which fed, and fed on, gospel Christianity. The Pauline epistles came between some form of Gnosticism and gospel Christianity. They were probably written in the middle of the first century AD, and the synoptic gospels were not completed before the end of the first century AD. But Christian Gnostics had adopted, in the earliest of their writings with which we are acquainted, some doctrines which were foreign to the Gnosticism of the first century BC, and whence these proto-Christian rather than orthodox doctrines came is not certain.

That the attacks on Gnosticism made by the Fathers of the Church do not begin until well on in the second century need not have been due, as alleged by the orthodox, to the fact that Gnosticism began only then. Perhaps only then did gospel Christianity separate from and begin to compete with Gnostic Christianity. In the middle of the second century Gnostic Christianity and gospel Christianity do not seem always to have been clearly distinguished. Valentinus, the leader of the Christian sect which was afterwards anathematized by the Catholics as heretic, was, on the evidence of the Fathers themselves, a member of the same Church as that considered by them as orthodox.

The schism between them may have been caused as much by a change in one as in the other. Perhaps Gnosticism became more mystic, while gospel Christianity became more materialistic. From one religion, they became two widely differing religions, evolving in different directions, but each took from the other doctrines formulated after they had begun to branch away from each other.

For the Sethians, the disciples were deluded in believing that Christ had risen in a bodily form and deliberately appeared to them to prove that the resurrection was spiritual not physical. Mary is often depicted in Gnostic works as a visionary who understood through her hallucinations more than the orthodox apostles. Tradition has it that she was mad or unstable and the verses added to the gospel of Mark in the second century might confirm it. She had had seven devils in her.

In the Gospel of Mary, Mary explains her vision to the disciples but they are thoroughly skeptical, especially Peter. She is conscious of the constant presence of Jesus but Peter is suspicious of such intangible revelation. Mary like Paul felt her awareness of the risen Jesus was more valid than the historical knowledge the appointed apostles had of him. Her sincerity and distress wins them over and they believe. The story expresses the point at which the Jesus of history, the leader of a band of rebels against the Roman usurpers of God’s kingdom—Israel, disappears and instead becomes a myth.

Jesus became mythical for both orthodox and Gnostic churches but the orthodox Church wanted its organization to reflect the political organization of the empire whereas the Gnostics retained an element of revolutionary outlook, abhoring central authority in favour of personal revelation. The Church offered its solace to “the many” (hoi polloi, from the word the Essenes used of their congregations) but Gnostics retained the exclusive outlook of the Essenes claiming the additional insight of secret teaching for the few prepared to seek it. The distinction possibly reflects a dissappointment with the apocalyptic outlook of the Essenes, the result of repeatedly foiled beliefs that the terminal battle had begun.

Gnostics like Valentinus, according to Irenaeus, thought that passages like Mark 4:11, in which Jesus says he speaks in parables, following the Essene tradition, intended to be hard to understand for gentiles and unreligious Jews, meant that he had reserved certain secret knowledge for his apostles alone—the “hidden things” of the Essenes. They believed the apostles in turn taught this secret knowledge only to those who were ready to receive it.

In fact, the followers of Jesus had mainly been his converts and those of John the Baptist, the simple of Ephraim and backsliders desperate to make amends with God before the kingdom came. Mostly these were not people who were sophisticated in Judaism and therefore took away with them, after the death of their leader, whatever they knew of him and his teachings in a fairly undigested pieces. Those who remained loyal told others the story and by degrees it became mythologized. Others of course, Jews or Greek observers, also saw the story unfold and regarded it in a much more skeptical way. Critical stories of a renegade monk from them would keep conflicting with the preferred story of a pacific holy teacher and had to be countered. They could not be ignored because they were widespread and tied in with the stories of the faithful quite often, so they had to be altered.

Eventually, we had the gospels stories, which became the basis of orthodox Christianity. Those who believed that there was more to it however began to seek in the stories the hidden secrets that they thought were there. They interpreted the stories in an even more mystical way when the correct way to get the truth from the distortions of the bishops was to disentangle the genuine tradition from the inventions. The Gnostics also followed Paul in believing that Jesus continued to reveal himself after death. In 1 Corinthians 2:6 Paul sounds just like one of the revealers of hidden things. Gnostics, like Paul, were not interested in the real life of Jesus, but the life they felt for themselves—much like most pious Christians today. The risen Jesus, the spiritual being, is of interest to them, not the humble Essene Poor Man who led an obscure band of converts against the Romans in Palestine.

Many Gnostic works presume that the Jesus of the flesh is dead. Their Jesus is the Christ, the redemptive superbeing. He appears to them as he did to Paul in mystical experiences, like the Old Testament God, as a bright light, as an appropriate form or as an ever changing form. Each visionary sees him as they want to see him. Gnostics also wrote pseudepigraphic gospels, supposedly written by those close to Jesus. For the orthodox Church these were blasphemous even though their own four canonical gospels were also not written by eye witnesses.

Irenaeus tells us that Gnostics were encouraged to write down their intuitive spiritual revelations. Irenaeus found this offensive, as attributing merely human feeling to the divine. He felt the Gnostics were boasting that their own revelations were superior to those of Peter and Paul, and this he found absurd in itself but also threatening towards the authority of the apostles, and therefore of the bishops and priesthood in general. Gnostics opposed a professional priesthood, preferring to chose people from among their own number at each service. Irenaeus also pressed the claims of the church of Rome in settling disputes on doctrine, because it had been founded by Peter and Paul, was the oldest church, and because of its “pre-eminent authority”.

There is much to be said for letting people express their spiritual selves in writing, and without disparagement. Everyone, for a Gnostic, had a spark of the divine, and it would have the chance of revealing itself through religious creativity. Those which were appreciated would be read, given that people had the opportunity. Those that were relatively valueless would not. The Holy Ghost could work through anyone and would manifest itself through its effect. Thus, Gnostics wrestling with one problem or another would feel themselves inspired by one or other of Jesus’s companions and would write in their spirit. Modern Gnostics should do the same. Works which are popular could be kept in libraries and those which are not can be archived like old holy books of a synagogue genista.

Gnostics and Christians
Marcion contrasted the God of love of Jesus with the wrathful God of the scriptures who made the evil world and sent laws so that he could enjoy punishing those who broke them. These must have been different gods, one good and one evil. Irenaeus and the orthodox Christians denied that there was another god and that the creator was evil and introduced the creed:

I believe in one God, Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

The Valentinians happily recited this creed because they also accepted only one God. Irenaeus was distressed that the ordinary religious punter could not distinguish between the orthodox and the Valentinian churches. Actually Valentinians thought that Christians had mistaken the image of God for the real thing. For them, the real God was incomprehensible but the Christians pictured Him as a tetchy old craftsman, a king or a judge. But Jesus taught “God is Spirit” and the “Father of Truth” according to Heraclaon, quoted by Origen.

Remember that in the empire at the time of the first bishops, gods were rife. Besides the Greek and Roman pantheons, many eastern gods had been introduced and often identified with one or other of the old pantheon. Nobody was concerned with blasphemy, and nobody boasted that their god was superior to another’s because they still feared the revenge of the offended god. Christians had no such qualms, labelling all other gods as devils.

The Christian bishops in Rome were interested in centralized authority. The political authority of the Empire rested in Rome. So too the religious authority should rest in Rome. Yet, other churches were as prominent, though not always as orthodox as the Roman church. So it suited the powers of orthodoxy to emphasise the sole power of God. Ignatius of Antioch declaimed: “One God! One bishop!” The bishop had to obeyed as if he were God on earth.

The archons of the Gnostics are these earthly rulers as well as evil angels. In his epistle, 1 Clement, Clement, an early Pope, threatens those in the church of Corinth who disobey the rulers of the earth with death—presumably the everlasting death of the Essenes—excommunication. He insists on strict rankings within the church, again from the Essene tradition but lacking the strict humility of the Essenes.

The “Hidden Tradition” which Valentinus claimed to receive from a student of Paul is that the God of the Christians is really only the Creator or the Demiurgos, a servant of the Highest God. He makes false claims of power as the only god because he is blind (Samael) and ignorant. Gnosis is the recognition that God is really “the Depth”. Those who get this revelation of knowledge receives the secret sacrament called the release or the redemption (“apolytrosis”)—he is released from the power of the Demiurge. The ritual involves a spoken defiance of the Demiurge and an assertion that the proper place to be is with the pre-existent Father. This again is reminiscent of the Essene chants against Satan.

Because the Christian bishop receives his authority from the God of the Hebrews, the Gnostic who does not recognize this god as God, can defy the power of the Church—the power of the earthly rulers or archons. The Gnostics were egalitarian, at least after their “apolytrosis,” and had no hierarchies. The sevices they held were conducted by one of their number chosen by lot—a bishop, a priest, a prophet and a reader each with their own role. This egalitarianism is closer to the Essenes’ idea of precedence than the authoritarian Church’s. The choice by lot was simply an expression of God’s will.

Women and the Mother Spirit
Even women had equal representation, Tertullian observed appalled. They took part in the lottery and could serve in any position. This is a very significant distinction from the Essenes of Qumran, but that was a monastery for the holiest of the saints. The ordinary village Essene, and more so the converted followers of the Nazarene, included women, for the scrolls tell us that, at the End Time, all Israel will be called including women and little children. Though the monastic Essenes regarded women as sinful and temptresses—and this came through to the Church, the village Essenes and Nazarenes accepted them, and it became a principle to do so for the Gnostics. The church originally had a large majority of women members and had a liberal view of them, but by 200 AD women were forbidden all active roles.

Irenaeus says the Gnostic heresies mainly attracted women and they were allowed to prophesy, an ability denied them by the orthodox Church. Many of the powerful emanations of Gnosticism—Grace, Thought, Silence—were feminine. The Hebrew word for spirit is “ruah,” a feminine word whereas the word for spirit in Greek, “pneuma,” is neuter. For Christians the Holy Ghost is either masculine, being an aspect of God, or is sexless. In the original Semitic, it was a female principle.

In the Apocryphon of John, John describes a vision of the Trinity reassuring him after the crucifixion, and the Holy Ghost is shown as a feminine principle, the Mother. That Gnostics associated the Holy Ghost with the Mother is confirmed in the Gospel of the Hebrews where Jesus refers to her as “my Mother, the Spirit”. In the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus’s divine mother, as opposed to his earthly mother, is the Holy Ghost. The Gospel of Philip declares “the Spirit is mother of many”. This is another possible element in the myth of the virgin birth because the Holy Ghost is also considered a virgin.

Sophia was also a feminine principle which might have been identified with the Holy Ghost or an aspect of God equal to it. The voice of the “Preacher,” the Ecclesiates of the Wisdom Book of Ecclesiates, is similarly, in Hebrew, a feminine word, “koheleth,” and yet is supposed to have been Solomon. It is not Solomon but the voice of Sophia who was preaching. Ideas are, metaphorically, conceived, emphasizing Sophia’s aspect as a Mother and linking with the Holy Ghost. Much Gnostic writing asserts the female against the male in the shape of Mary Magdalene against the orthodoxy of Peter.

For Gnostics, the proper witness to Christ was an exemplary life, not an exemplary death. Tertullian, at the end of his life rejected the Church in favour of the Gnostics, joining the Montanists.

Christianity has been successful because it provided apparent certainties and cajoled, bullied, tortured and murdered to ensure there was no opposition. Yet love and truth reside in one’s own conscience, must be sought there and openly expressed whatever organized churches or hierarchical societies care to command. Irenaeus said:

The preaching of the truth, like the sun, shines everywhere the same in the world and enlightens all people who are willing.

Irenaeus was intent on distinguishing the universality of the orthodox church as opposed to a perceived exclusiveness of Gnosticism. Yet plainly he fails for he has to qualify those who are enlightened with the clause “who are willing”. No one can claim that all Christians are good and undoubltedly some of the not-good ones are evil. So the sun of truth can shine but it does not necessarily enlighten—it also casts shadows. Irenaeus’s small qualification proves that no church can be universal unless the kingdom of God came in the meantime. The qualifying clause actually makes his statement Gnostic because it becomes the entire point of the metaphor. Only those who are willing can become enlightened! That is elitist and quite properly so.

The Essenes did not believe, like the Christians, that baptism made anyone righteous. Baptism with fire was also needed. They had to seek the spirit of holiness inside themselves, repent sincerely and behave righteously. The orthodox church effectively abandoned all but baptism. The Gnostics did not. Yet it was the Gnostics who died out, and with it went genuine soul searching, and genuine effort to find and do good. That is perhaps the trouble with the world.

Sorry dualism is not Faith in Yahshua/YHVH, YHVH is ONE and Supreme, the Most High God, all other beings are created.
Dualism is tricky lie to confuse the simple and discredit YHVH/God by give a spin explanation as to the existance of good and evil, and evils apparent dominance in the affairs of man.

THE STORY OF THE ESSENE GOSPEL OF PEACE

Translated by Edmond Bordeaux Szekely

In Four Volumes

It was in 1928 that Edmond Bordeaux Szekely first published his translation of Book One of The Essene Gospel of Peace, an ancient manuscript he had found in the Secret Archives of the Vatican as the result of limitless patience, faultless scholarship, and unerring intuition. This story is told in his book, The Discovery of the Essene Gospel of Peace, published in 1975. The English version of Book One appcared in 1937, and ever since, the little volume has traveled over the world, appearing in many different languages, gaining every year more and more readers, until now, still with no commercial advertisement, over a million copies have been sold in the United States alone. It was not until almost fifty years after the first French translation that Book Two and Book Three appeared (The Unknown Books of the Essenes and Lost Scrolls of the Essene Brotherhood), achieving rapidly the popularity of Book One.

In 1981, Book Four, The Teachings of the Elect, was published posthumously according to Dr. Szekely´s wishes, representing yet another fragment of the complete manuscript which exists in Aramaic in the Secret Archives of the Vatican and in old Slavonic in the Royal Library of the Habsburgs (now the property of the Austrian government). The poetic style of the translator brings to vivid reality the exquisitely beautiful words of Jesus and the Elders of the Essene Brotherhood. Some of the chapters: The Essene Communions. The Sevenfold Peace. The Holy Streams of Life, Light, and Sound. The Gift of the Humble Grass.

EXCERPTS FROM The Essene Gospel of Peace, Book Two:
The Unknown Books of the Essenes

And one man spoke: "But, Master, we are but men, we are not angels. How then can we hope to walk in their ways? Tell us what we must do."

And Jesus spoke:

As the son inherits the land of his father, So have we inherited a Holy Land From our Fathers. This land is not a field to be ploughed, But a place within us Where we may build our Holy Temple. -And even as a temple must be raised, Stone by stone,

So will I give to you those stones

For the building of the Holy Temple;

That which we have inherited

From our Fathers,

And their Fathers´ Fathers.

And all the men gathered around Jesus, and their faces shone with desire to hear the words which would come from his lips. And he lifted his face to the rising sun, and the radiance of its rays filled his eyes as he spoke:

"The Holy Temple can be built Only with the ancient Communions, Those which are spoken,

Those which are thought, And those which are lived.

For if they are spoken only with the mouth,

They are as a dead hive

Which the bees have forsaken,

That gives no more honey.

The Communions are a bridge

Between man and the angels,

And like a bridge,

Can be built only with patience,

Yea, even as the bridge over the river

Is fashioned stone by stone,

As they are found by the water´s edge.

And the Communions are fourteen in number,

As the Angels of the Heavenly Father

Number seven,

And the Angels of the Earthly Mother

Number seven.

And just as the roots of the tree

Sink into the earth and are nourished,

And the branches of the tree

Raise their arms to heaven,

So is man like the trunk of the tree,

With his roots deep

In the breast of his Earthly Mother,

And his soul ascending

To the bright stars of his Heavenly Father.

And the roots of the tree

Are the Angels of the Earthly Mother,

And the branches of the tree

Are the Angels of the Heavenly Father.

And this is the sacred Tree of Life

Which stands in the Sea of Eternity.

EXCERPTS FROM The Essene Gospel of Peace, Book Three:
Lost Scrolls of the Essene Brotherhood

For the earth shall be filled

with the Peace of the Heavenly Father,

as the waters cover the sea.

I will invoke the Angel of Peace,

Whose breath is friendly,

Whose hand is clothed in power.

In the reign of Peace, there is neither hunger nor thirst,

Neither cold wind nor hot wind,

Neither old age nor death.

In the reign of Peace,

Both animals and men shall be undying,

Waters and plants shall be undrying,

And the food of life shall be never-failing.

It is said that the mountains

Shall bring peace to the people,

And the little hills, righteousness.

There shall be peace

As long as the sun and moon endure, Throughout all generations.

Peace shall come down like rain upon mown grass, As showers that water the earth.

In the reign of Peace shall the Law grow strong,

And the Children of Light shall have dominion

From sea to sea, unto the ends of the earth.

T´he reign of Peace hath its source

In the Heavenly Father;

By his strength he setteth fast the mountains,

He maketh the outgoings of morning and evening To rejoice in the Light,

He bringeth to earth the river of the Law, To water and enrich it,

He maketh soft the earth with showers;

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness,

And the little hills rejoice on every side.

The pastures are clothed with flocks;

The valleys also are covered over with corn;

They shout for joy, they also sing.

O Heavenly Father!

Bring unto thy earth the reign of Peace! 7´hen shall we remember the words

Of him who taught of old the Children of Light:

I give the peace of thy Earthly Mother

To thy body,

And the peace of thy Heavenly Father To thy spirit.

And let the peace of both

Reign among the sons of men.

Come to me all that are weary,

And that suffer in strife and affliction!

For my peace will strengthen thee and comfort thee. For my peace is exceeding full of joy.

Wherefore do I always greet thee after this manner: Peace be with thee!

Do thou always, therefore, so greet one another, That upon thy body may descend The The Peace of thy Earthly Mother,

And upon thy spirit

The Peace of thy Heavenly Father.

And then wilt thou find peace also among thyselves,

For the Kingdom of the Law is within thee.

And return to thy Brothers

And give thy peace to them also,

For happy are they that strive for peace,

For they will find the peace of the Heavenly Father.

And give to every one thy peace,

Even as I have given my peace unto thee.

For my peace is of God.

Peace be with thee!

EXCERPTS FROM The Essene Gospel of peace, Book Four:
The Teachings of the Elect

THE HOLY STREAMS

Into the innermost circle have you come, into the mystery of mysteries, that which was old when our father Enoch was young and walked the earth. Around and around have you come on your journey of many years, always following the path of righteousness, living according to the Holy Law and the sacred vows of our Brotherhood, and you have made of your body a holy temple wherein dwell the angels of God. Many years have you shared the daylight hours with the angels of the Earthly Mother; many years have you slept in the arms of the Heavenly Father, taught by his unknown angels. You have learned that the laws of the Son of Man are seven, of the angels three, and of God, one. Now you shall know of the three laws of the angels, the mystery of the three Holy Streams and the ancient way to traverse them; so shall you bathe in the light of heaven and at last behold the revelation of the mystery of mysteries: the law of God, which is One.

Now in the hour before the rising of the sun, just before the angels of the Earthly Mother breathe life into the still sleeping earth, then do you enter into the Holy Stream of Life. It is your Brother Tree who holds the mystery of this Holy Stream, and it is your Brother Tree that you will embrace in your thought, even as by day you embrace him in greeting when you walk along the lake shore. And you shall be one with the tree, for in the beginning of the times so did we all share in the Holy Stream of Life that gave birth to all creation. And as you embrace your Brother Tree, the power of the Holy Stream of Life will fill your whole body, and you will tremble before its might. Then breathe deeply of the angel of air, and say the word "Life" with the outgiving of breath. Then you will become in truth the Tree of Life which sinks its roots deep into the Holy Stream of Life from an eternal source. And as the angel of sun warms the earth, and all the creatures of land and water and ai r rejoice in the new day, so will your body and spirit rejoice in the Holy Stream of life that flows to you through your Brother Tree.

And when the sun is high in the heavens, then shall you seek the Holy Stream of Sound. in the heat of noontide, all creatures are still and seek the shade; the angels of the Earthly Mother are silent for a space. Then it is that you shall let into your ears the Holy Stream of Sound; for it can only be heard in the silence. Think on the streams that are born in the desert after a sudden storm, and the roaring sound of the waters as they rush past. Truly, this is the voice of God, if you did but know it. For as it is written, in the beginning was the Sound, and the Sound was with God, and the Sound was God. I tell you truly, when we are born, we enter the world with the sound of God in our ears, even the singing of the vast chorus of the sky, and the holy chant of the stars in their fixed rounds; it is the Holy Stream of Sound that traverses the vault of stars and crosses the endless kingdom of the Heavenly Father. It is ever in our ears, so do we hear it not. Listen for it, then, in the silence of noontide; bathe in it, and let the rhythm of the music of God beat in your ears untfl you are one with the Holy Stream of Sound. It was this Sound which formed the earth and the world, and brought forth the mountains, and set the stars in their thrones of glory in the highest heavens.

And you shall bathe in the Stream of Sound, and the music of its waters shall flow over you; for in the beginning of the times so did we all share in the Holy Stream of Sound that gave birth to all creation. And the mighty roaring of the Stream of Sound will fill your whole body, and you will tremble before its might. Then breathe deeply of the angel of air, and become the sound itself, that the Holy Stream of Sound may carry you to the endless kingdom of the Heavenly Father, there where the rhythm of the world rises and falls.

And when darkness gently closes the eyes of the angels of the Earthly Mother, then shall you also sleep, that your spirit may join the unknown angels of the Heavenly Father. And in the moments before you sleep, then shall you think of the bright and glorious stars, the white, shining, far-seen and far-piercing stars. For your thoughts before sleep are as the bow of the skillful archer, that sends the arrow where he wills. Let your thoughts before sleep be with the stars; for the stars are Light, and the Heavenly Father is Light, even that Light which is a thousand times brighter than the brightness of a thousand suns. Enter the Holy Stream of Light, that the shackles of death may loose their hold for ever, and breaking free from the bonds of earth, ascend the Holy Stream of Light through the blazing radiance of the stars, into the endless kingdom of the Heavenly Father.

Unfold your wings of light, and in the eye of your thought, soar with the stars into the farthest reaches of heaven, where untold suns blaze with light. For at the beginning of the times, the Holy Law said, let there be Light, and there was Light. And you shall be one with it, and the power of the Holy Light Stream will fill your whole body, and you will tremble before its might. Say the word "Light," as you breathe deeply of the angel of air, and you will become the Light itself; and the Holy Stream will carry you to the endless kingdom of the Heavenly Father, there losing itself in the eternal Sea of Light which gives birth to all creation. And you shall be one with the Holy Stream of Light, always before you sleep in the arms of the Heavenly Father.

I tell you truly, your body was made not only to breathe, and eat, and think, but it was also made to enter the Holy Stream of Life. And your ears were made not only to hear the words of men, the song of birds, and the music of falling rain, but they were also made to hear the Holy Stream of Sound. And your eyes were made not only to see the rising and setting of the sun, the ripple of sheaves of grain, and the words of the Holy Scrolls, but they were also made to see the Holy Stream of Light. One day your body will return to the Earthly Mother; even also your ears and your eyes. But the Holy Stream of Life, the Holy Stream of Sound, and the Holy Stream of Light, these were never born, and can never die. Enter the Holy Streams, even that Life, that Sound, and that Light which gave you birth; that you may reach the kingdom of the Heavenly Father and become one with him even as the river empties into the far-distant sea.

More than this cannot be told, for the Holy Streams will take you to that place where words are no more, and even the Holy Scrolls cannot record the mysteries therein.

Re: Gnosticism, Essenes and Secret Teachings of Jesus
Heavenly Mother, the Great Wellspring, is also the Earthly Mother spoken of within Essene writings like the Gospel of Peace. She has two forms or aspects of Her Earthly expression. She represents all that is beautiful and good in the natural world. The secret doctrine of the Mandaeans teach that these good aspects of nature were brought with the soul from the Heavens of Light. They are good when not abused or over indulged in. When these gifts are not kept balanced with divine principles and gnosis, they can become dark and destructive. In this aspect, nature and the natural world become a weight that holds back our souring spirits. In this aspect she is the instinctive and animalistic Nephesh soul, or even the Ruha soul when it is united with the Nephesh rather than the Neshamah spirit. As a personification of that part of human character which loves frivolity and the lusts of the flesh, Ruha is often referred to as evil in mandaean texts. They say that when a man becomes a priest he must divest himself of the Mother and ´put on the Father´, in other words, must put off that which is earthly and identify himself with that which is spiritual. This is reminiscent of Yeshu´s words to Maria as found in the Gospel of Thomas:
Simon Peter Said To Them: Mary Magdalene Should Depart From Us, For Females Are Not Worthy Of Life. Yesua Said: I Shall Lead Her So As To Make Her Masculine, That She May Become Of Vivacious Spirit As Ye Other Males. For Every Female Who Shall Become Male Shall Enter The Theocracy Of Heaven. "
Mandaeans did not see the Earthly Mother as evil as long as interaction with Her was kept balanced with spiritual pursuits. When spiritual matters were abandoned and Her charms fully concentrated upon, they say:
Behold, everything is founded in the Earth and issueth from her and is kept in her and there is nought which leaveth her save soul and spirit which the Jordan bringeth out from her and delivereth them from her snares and bonds. For Earth is Ruha who holdeth and entangleth all mysteries and any being who doth not seek to depart from her. Behold this fair body that was nurtured by her! [At death] she encloseth it and consumeth it and maketh it as if it had never existed. And all the kindly mysteries which she produces and tends as [one tends] a lamp with oil, eventually she turns on them and devours them with teeth of wrath. This is the Earth of the Parents. She raised up physical life and she is the Great Mother from Whom all swarming creatures, burgeonings and increase proceeded and by Whom they are maintained. (A TS pp. 238).
The Mother is ´the Left´, the Father ´the Right´: the Mother, Earth, the Father, Sky; the Mother, Matter; the Father, Non-matter; the Mother, ruha (vital spirit), and the Father, nisimta (soul). Their union is necessary for creation, it is necessary for life here and for life hereafter. When spirit and nature are balanced together in the Nazorean Way and become one, eternal life ensues:

For the Drop [semen] of the Father and the [Womb of the] Mother are ranged with spirit and soul in the body. For the Drop combineth two mysteries and they are the mystery of the Father and of the Mother [as was] dumb_bitchd concerning them. Further, two mysteries, spirit and soul, came into being, were formed, and were called ´the four mysteries´. So Drop and Drop grasped one another´s mysteries and solidification took place in the Womb. And no body [´stuna] can exist that is not born [conceived] by two mysteries and built up of four mysteries. And when the four have given it shape, seven arise and subdivide into nine and then twelve shine forth in it. And [in] sixty days sixty seals are set on it. Thirty days set on it the seal of the Father and thirty nights set the seal the Mother on it until it is given over to one of them. If the Father signeth it in the Jordan it becomes the Father´s: the Mother signeth it in fire, it becomes the Mother´s. It will belong to the one of the twain who signed it and there will be no hatred; rancour or dissension between them on account of what they said and did. Covenant and boundary were made so that neither should be antagonistic to the other. So it is like a house, for building which design was employed. ´House´ is its name, for everything proceeded from and was formed in it. Thus the whole earth is a house: it is a great house in which mysteries are kept and selected by test. It is an Egg of Life [House of Life] for the Great Father. (ibid., pp.182-3.)

Modern Essene Nazoreans of Sons Aumen Israel teach that Mother Nature is pure and beautiful when enjoyed within the context of the Essene Nazorean Way. When her goods and bounty are shared and when those who share her goodness live a natural peaceful rural life, then Her good side comes to the forefront.
Modern life in industrial societies and large urban areas is considered an act of separation between the Earthly Mother and Heavenly Father. Individual ownership of many goods, modern consumerism, as well as divorce from personal organic gardening and natural housing, begin to bring out her evil side. When a person begins to collect many personal possessions and identify with ownership of them, problems begin to arise. When focus is placed on factory made objects rather than natural and handcrafted ones, and when ones life is detached from the seasonal flow and interaction in the garden, more darkness arises and the Ruha is more united with the lower Nephesh instincts, strengthening the ego and dwindling the true Self. Earth life outside of Nazorean encampment turns the Earthly Mother into a whore, Interaction with her at this point becomes destructive, and like the Hindu Kali, she devours her children and destroys them.

Living a wholesome natural lifestyle in a Nazorean community, however, brings out all the positive sides of Heavenly Mother expressed thru nature and natural interaction with fellow Nazoreans. In this aspect She, the Earthly Mother, is seen as married to the Heavenly Father and all that is spiritual. The children of this union, the Nazoreans, flourish under this type of arangement.

Re: Gnosticism, Essenes and Secret Teachings of Jesus
Let me begin by pointing out what modern scholars think that the earliest heterodox gnostic Christian sects and communities taught:

1) A "Doctrine of Emanations" from one Eternal Source, or the idea that all individuals have their origin in the Eternal and all partake, in their inner most being, in the eternal.

2) The preexistence of souls in a spiritual state who subsequently fell into matter and became clothed with bodies, yet who still retain a Divine Spark within, this spark being the means of salvation.

3) Redemption/Salvation through Knowledge, Wisdom or Gnosis revealed and imparted by Yeshu (Jesus), the Savior, who descended from the Heavenly Realms to earth. The means and method by which this "incarnation" took place varied from sect to sect.

4) A distinction between the earthly Yeshu (Jesus before His baptism) and the Heavenly Christ, although both Yeshu (Jesus) and Christ had become one, hence the title Jesus Christ. The earthly Yeshu (Jesus) was considered to be the natural son of Joseph and Mary until his adoption at His baptism.

5) The concept of a Divine Feminine and of God as having the attributes of both Male and Female. A portion of the divine feminine was responsible for the fashioning of the lower realms of matter.

6) The existence of a "secret doctrine" or mystery teaching imparted by Yeshu (Jesus) to his disciples.

7) The crucifixion of Yeshu (Jesus) as an event interpreted on various levels: literal, symbolical and allegorical. The "death" of Yeshu (Jesus) was only in appearance as the "spiritual Christ" could not be subject to death.

8) The existence of evil powers, rulers, inferior or fallen angels, ruled over by a chief archon known by various names and who was instrumental in fashioning the lower worlds of matter. These beings have enslaved humanity but Christ triumphed over them and all those who follow Christ will likewise do so.

9) Since their descent into matter, souls have been subject to reincarnation, due to the weight of sin, matter and ignorance. Christ brought liberating Gnosis (knowledge) of man´s true origin and demonstrated a way out of rebirth known as "the resurrection of the dead." Christ, as Savior, possesses the power to restore the soul to its true nature. This was the "atonement," not a blood sacrifice of a Son to an otherwise implacable God for an "original sin."

10) A system of "initiation" whereby the esoteric doctrine of Yeshu (Jesus) by degrees was imparted to all who made themselves worthy.

Although there were divergences among the various sects and schools, there was room for creative freedom and individual interpretation. The earliest Christianity was diverse yet all-inclusive. The believer, no matter what his religion, could embrace Christianity in the form that best suited him. Since there was a preponderance of sects and schools, this was not difficult.

Christ remained the center and cornerstone of the religion, and the believer could accept Christ as he or she was able to perceive him. The Jew, the Greek, the Persian, the Egyptian, the Hindu could accept Christ and yet not discard his own religion and the concepts most dear to him. Christ is the Universal Savior.

Two early groups of Christians were the Nazareans and the Ebionites (both Judaized Essene-like groups). Their beliefs were in contrast with later orthodox beliefs. We will see the nature of the forces applied to create orthodox doctrines and to sweep the original beliefs into the historical dustbin (until 1945 as we will see).

And this all only further demonstrates the futility of individuals who have not gained the ability to think wholistically, on multiple dimensions and beyond linearly, presuming to understand the words or teachings of those who have.

The world, like this forum, is full of people who have not done their own work on themselves because they foolisly and irresponsibly believe someone else has already done it for them and now all they have to do is have faith in words they can´t begin to understand and worship and pray to an idea they don´t dare look directly at.

I marvel here every day at the hoard of so-called Christians who persist in deciphering only the narrowest interpretation of Christ. They copy and paste endless amounts of scripture to compensate for their inability to think for themsleves, or at least to think outside the religious programming their cherished scriptures have reduced them to, and for their complete lack of creative imagination which they fear even more than their dreaded anti-Christ.

I often think to myself, if only these people could read the utter nonsense they post through the eyes of someone who is free from the religious mindset they would surely snap out of the ludicrous spell they are under. But alas, that is just wishful thinking on my part. When a person lacks the courage and/or the will to face the truth of themselves they´ll always cling to one form of denial or another. So be it. Let them march like lemmings to the completion of their self-fulfilling - end of the world - prophecy.

While these folk are coming to terms with the fact that the litteral narrowness of their vision has led them to literally miss the boat, the rest of us will enjoy a much welcome break from the insanity which is religious programming and superstition, and after a period of celebration begin planning for the next round of ´hold the door´ until the last of the floundering scragglers finally make their way through. Fortunately those of us who have regained the memories that time tried to steal know well that this has all already occurred or we might be tempted to just throw in the towel. Know what I mean?

Re: Gnosticism, Essenes and Secret Teachings of Jesus
This much all Christians are agreed upon:
Every true believer must be baptized by
the Spirit into the Body of Christ.

We muxt first recall that we all believe
salvation is past, present and future:
We have been saved (justification),
we are being saved (sanctification),
and we will be saved (glorification).

Sanctification is where we are now. This
has to do with holiness. Holiness
proceeds from the work of the Spirit in
our hearts.

We need to seek the life that reflects
the beauty of Jesus. It comes as we
are filled with the Holy Spirit. As he
works in and through us as we are
yielded to God and his will.

Re: Gnosticism, Essenes and Secret Teachings of Jesus
Jesus taught mysteries and secret teachings to his disciples including several women. He did this for various reasons. The Gnostic gospels give us a glimpse of what he taught to those fortunate few.

In 1945 a discovery of momentous proportions added to the canon of the lost teachings of Jesus. The tale of the Nag Hammadi scrolls would make a good movie script including murder and intrigue. The priceless papyrus scrolls finally ended up on the black market then eventually found their way to the Coptic Museum of Cairo. But five amazing texts were smuggled to America for sale. I´ll let a section from the Introduction to The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels continue from here:

"... Word of this codex soon reached Professor Gilles Quispel, distinguished historian of religion at Utrecht, in the Netherlands. Excited by the discovery, Quispel urged the Jung Foundation in Zurich to buy the codex. But discovering, when he succeeded, that some pages were missing, he flew to Egypt in the spring of 1955 to try to find them in the Coptic Museum. Arriving in Cairo, he went at once to the Coptic Museum, borrowed photographs of some of the texts, and hurried back to his hotel to decipher them. Tracing out the first line, Quispel was startled, then incredulous, to read:

"These are the secret words which Jesus spoke, and which the twin, Judas Thomas, wrote down."

Quisel knew that his colleague H.C. Puech, using notes from another French scholar, Jean Doresse, had identified the opening lines with fragments of a Greek Gospel of Thomas discovered in the 1890´s. But the discovery of the whole text raised new questions: Did Jesus have a twin brother, as this text implies? Could the text be an authentic record of Jesus´ sayings? According to its title, it contained the Gospel According to Thomas; yet, unlike the gospels of the New Testament, this text identified itself as a secret gospel. Quispel also discovered that it contained many sayings known from the New Testament; but these sayings, placed in unfamiliar contexts, suggested other dimensions of meaning. Other passages, Quispel found, differed entirely from any known Christian tradition: the "living Jesus," for example, speaks in sayings as cryptic and compelling as Zen koans: Jesus said,

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

What Quispel held in his hand, the Gospel of Thomas, was only one of the fifty-two texts discovered at Nag Hammadi (the usual English translation of the town´s name). Bound into the same volume with it is the Gospel of Phillip, which attributes to Jesus acts and sayings quite different from those in the New Testament:

"... the companion of the [Savior is] Mary Magdalene. [But Christ loved] her more than [all] the disciples, and used to kiss her [often] on her [mouth]. The rest of [the disciples were offended] ... They said to him, "Why do you love her more than all of us?" The Savior answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you as (I love) her?"

... Yet the gnostic Gospel of Thomas relates that as soon as Thomas recognizes him, Jesus says to Thomas that they have both received their being from the same source: Jesus said,

"I am not your master. Because you have drunk, you have become drunk from the bubbling stream which I have measured out. ... He who will drink from the bubbling stream which I have measured out.... He who will drink from my mouth will become as I am: I myself shall become he, and the things that are hidden will be revealed to him."

[This excerpt can be found here: Frontline: From Jesus to Christ; Introduction: The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels (PDF)]

`From Thee, Father, and through Thee, Mother, the two immortal names, Parents of the divine being, and thou, dweller in heaven, humanity, of the mighty name...´

Let´s break down these strange yet revealing quotes that Elaine Pagels included in her introduction.

"These are the secret words which Jesus spoke, and which the twin, Judas Thomas, wrote down."

There are three points to be gleaned from this simple statement. The first is obvious, there are secret teachings. Why are their secret teachings and why did Jesus teach in parables? Jesus knew that the teachings from God had been changed. The Jews followed the dead letter of the law. The Old Testament Prophets´ admonishments and wisdom had been filtered over the years, no longer reflecting the vibrancy of the Word. Jesus saw the distortions of the Divine intent in other major religions as well. On his travels through India during his "lost years," he witnessed the hoarding of the mysteries of God by the Brahmins, keeping the ´little people´ in their place. He saw that the major religions of India: Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, had devolved. Vital elements for self mastery were missing.

There is no doubt whatsoever that Jesus knew that the Bible would be changed in the future both unconsciously and on purpose. Important teachings would be taken out such as: karma, reincarnation, the rigors of the Path, the Divine Feminine within and the importance of women, and the most valuable teaching of all, that we are all Sons and Daughters of God. To safe guard the teachings for future generations he taught the ´mysteries´ and ´secret´ teachings to the select few. They were intended to not only transmit this information personally, to those they met on their travels but also to future generations as they reincarnated down through the centuries. They were western tertons (buddhists monks and lamas who were with Padma Sambhava a few centuries after Issa left Tibet and who were told they would reincarnate in this age with Padma Sambhava´s message).

Jesus was also well aware of the guruchela relationship. The twelve disciples, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, Martha, Lazarus and others were his chelas. The guru always transmits the inner mysteries to his chelas. Not everything we need to know is in the Bible.

The second point is obvious. He had a twin? That is mind boggling to say the least. Can it be true? Who´s to say? Maybe it refers to some sort of metaphysical concept.

The third point is this, if it is true then there are some disturbing implications. Since Jesus was supposedly born of a virgin birth, wouldn´t the twin be a "Son of God" also. Judas Thomas has never been mentioned as equal to Jesus. Therefore, maybe the so called virgin birth was a myth concocted later to further remove Jesus from us. If Jesus was born like Judas Thomas and you and me, then we all have a chance to be Sons and Daughters of God. Mark was the first Gospel to be published and makes no mention of a virgin birth. Mathew and Luke were drawn from Mark and yet strangely enough, added the virgin birth. The Book of John makes no mention of it. Maybe the meaning of ´virgin´ was something different in the languages of the day. Maybe Mother Mary had a virgin consciousness that was able to hold the immaculate concept for Jesus throughout conception and during his young life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next quote rivals the best in metaphysical riddles:

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

We have a Divine Plan and the Light of God within us. If we bring forth the light and love within, it will transform us. More light and more love will return to us on the karmic return. If we do not become one with the light and love of God within our hearts but instead turn to darker emotions then that negativity will become an anathema to the Christ within. To put it another way, nearly every person who goes through the near death experience and is able to remember, finds out that God and the Spiritual Heiarchies do not judge them. They themselves are their own judge. The Christ within and their own conscience are their judges. The Cosmic Beings showing the souls the karmic record radiate pure love. The Light of God encompassing our souls has an innate intelligence. It cannot be fooled. There will be a reckoning some day, some lifetime, when the karmic clock runs out.

Gian Girolamo Savoldo, ´Saint Mary Magdalene approaching the Sepulchre´, about 1530.

Here´s the next quote:

"... the companion of the [Savior is] Mary Magdalene. [But Christ loved] her more than [all] the disciples, and used to kiss her [often] on her [mouth]. The rest of [the disciples were offended] ... They said to him, "Why do you love her more than all of us?" The Savior answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you as (I love) her?"

Talk about disturbing pictures. But why? Have we been programmed to think Jesus acts a certain way? He is not like us, is he? According to esoteric teaching brought forth not so long ago, either by the Summit Lighthouse, The Bridge to Freedom or possibly, The I Am Movement; Mary Magdalene was Jesus´ Twin Flame. We all have one twin soul who was created out of the same undifferentiated substance of Light many, many lifetimes ago. As the sphere separated out from God forming the Yin and Yang, male and female, twin flames are born. Each has the same blueprint. We all make karma so we are not always fortunate to be with our twin flame in each life. Mary Magdalene could not help but be drawn to her twin flame in that life. He had realized and become the Christ. No stronger magnet exists. He was an irresistible force.

A whole cottage industry of books has emerged revealing that Jesus did marry Mary Magdalene and that they had children. Two books on the subject are listed below, Holy Blood, Holy Grail and Bloodline of the Holy Grail. I recommend pursuing this line of research. It is fascinating. Unfortunately too much emphasis is often times paid to the physical bloodline of Jesus. The metaphysical concepts of the Blood being the Holy Spirit and the Grail being the Christ chalice within, are pushed aside.

Mary Magdalene died in 63 AD in southern France. Various esoteric gnostic sects of Christianity throughout history have always held Mary Magdalene in the highest regard, even revered her. She was a true chela and one of Jesus´ best disciples hence his last statement: "Why do I not love you as (I love) her?" This was not a reference to twin flames but to her devotion to the Path. She was never a prostitute, nor does it say that in the Bible. Peter´s jealousy and possible hatred of women probably had something to do with the Catholic Church´s position on Mary Magdalene and women in general.

Here is the final quote form The Gnostic Gospels:

"I am not your master. Because you have drunk, you have become drunk from the bubbling stream which I have measured out. ... He who will drink from the bubbling stream which I have measured out.... He who will drink from my mouth will become as I am: I myself shall become he, and the things that are hidden will be revealed to him."

The Master states he is not the master. Well that is rather blasphemous I must say. The Gospel of Thomas will never be allowed in the Bible for that satement alone. Continuing, if we drink from the same fount as He did, the bubbling stream of light that is the Christ consciousness, then we will become like him. It was his mission to show us the way, to be the example for an age. His victory measures out a portion of the office of Christ that he became if we truly walk the inner mysteries. If we put on the mantle of Christ, all that was taught secretly will be revealed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is another quote. It´s taken from The Gospel of Thomas by Marvin Meyers

Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." Verse 22.

When you so identify with the light within; when you make the lower self like the God above, the Mighty I Am Presence; when you purify your chakras, the upper chakras magnifying the alpha or masculine and the lower chakras the omega or feminine energies; when you do these things the Christ image will descend down the crystal cord directly above and super impose itself over you. At that moment, Jesus will be with you. The Kingdom of God is not in some antiseptic corner of the universe. Do these things and you will be aware of it. The door will be open. You will already have entered.

.........................

I appreciate this thread. Some nice contributions to help expand thinking.

(And did you know that “Earthangel” was a great song by the Penquins in the 1950s?)

Anyway to do some serious study of the TEACHINGS OF JESUS, and to leave out completely his book; “A Course In Miracles,” shows me that this thread is a nice presentation of “old” ideas of what Jesus may have taught and said, FILTERED THROUGH the interpretations that naturally happen when stories are passed down from the past.

But it is NOT COMPLETE.

His ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE thoughts were given to us in his book “A Course In Miracles,” and it is about 1200 pages with ONLY HIS THOUGHTS AND HIS TEACHINGS.

No interpretations, or comments by any other person. PURELY HIS WORDS.

And if one seriously studies it one will see the similarity with much of what the Gnostic Texts teach as TRUTH.

BUT JESUS’ COURSE IN MIRACLES is by far, THE MOST PROFOUND SCRIPTURE AND SPIRITUAL TEACHING EVER GIVEN TO MANKIND.

And it is EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS; A Course In Miracles. That is what the student will learn.

Nothing even has ever come close to what Jesus teaches in the Course.

The bible; OT or NT, or any scripture ever found by any culture PALES COMPARED TO THE ACIM.

And it stands to reason that they should, considering it is Jesus’ OWN WORDS. Not some statements purported to be what he said two thousand years ago.

Millions are studying it, but I think it is unfortunate that so many still have not investigated HIS BOOK to us.

And that many are still steeped in to the old dusty manuscripts written thousands of years ago, where so much of what was originally written about what Jesus said was altered and even completely changed by the individuals who were in power, so that what some people today are spouting off as “TRUTH”, or statements that they believe Jesus said, in many cases they are statements that have been altered and often changed in meaning from what he actually said.

Look at the Course In Miracles, and maybe you will find that you are actually READY TO STUDY IT YOURSELF.

I SAY THAT BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE REALLY NOT READY TO STUDY IT YET.

Thanks EarthAngel, a great name, and a great song.

"IF you had irrefutable proof that Jesus was a myth, would it change the impact of the "message" on you? "

.................

Sophia I can say this for myself, if you had directed your question to my post.

I have been studying Jesus´ A Course In Miracles, since 1982, I study it every day by reading some of it. Its beautiful and I don´t think I have missed one day in all that time.

There are 365 lessons, to complete the workbook, which is one lesson for each day.

It is also a SELF STUDY COURSE, which is BEST PRACTICED ALONE, and not with some group, this is my opinion.

I was NOT able to do healings for people before I began to study it and within a few months, about six months after I began to do the studying of it, I was able to do my first healing. And since that first one I have been able to do several hundred, (more than 700) for people who have had all sorts of serious health problems which after the healing their problem disappeared.

How does one know IF what one is studying or believing is VALUABLE OR the TRUTH?

By WHAT YOU CAN DO AFTER YOU HAVE STUDIED IT!

If all one can do is recite passages from some text that they memorized, then that proves nothing.

But if one can actually DO THE HEALINGS/MIRACLES that Jesus TEACHES IN HIS BOOK, then you have proof that JESUS IS REAL AND HIS TEACHING IS THE TRUTH.

And that is my proof that Jesus is real. By my own experience. And anyone can do what I have done, because Jesus teaches that we all can do it.

Sophia, my answer is still that because of what I have experienced, IT MAKES IT IRREFUTABLE PROOF THAT JESUS IS NOT A MYTH. HE IS REAL.

There CAN NOT be irrefutable proof that he is a myth. ITS IMPOSSIBLE, BECAUSE HE IS REAL.

My experience that I posted is my PROOF that Jesus is REAL. And that his book is the TRUTH.

Or else I would NOT BE ABLE TO DO ANY HEALING for anybody.

yes you would.

it is the frequency of unconditional love that heals...which Jesus was a teacher and example of....as you are and can too.

an even higher frequency is that of wholeness which Jesus also attained...as you can too.

the highest frequency is oneness which you can also learn from Jesus...and once you do...you will see that it was always within YOU.

Re: Gnosticism, Essenes and Secret Teachings of Jesus
Barf!

Gnosticism is just mystery religion started by Cain 4000 years before Christ. A preverted repackaging of what was to come.

The "answers with" crap is the same lie Cain´s father gave to the good couple of the Garden.

"Your are a God, you will have the knowledge of Good and Evil."

Even power players like the Masons know where their religion comes form.

We are created by God for God, the Lord of Hosts and the God of Israel.

We have no purpose outside of him. True happiness will always allude you over the long-term if you fail to realized this.

we need no one outside of our very own self to heal...with the power of your word you heal.

you are the power
you are the teacher
you are the jesus
you are the buddha
you are the krishna

it is all you...and only waiting on your embrace.

not embracing externals.

this gives your power and authority away and yet the love within still waits...only on you."

...................

I agree with you only to the point that the potential is in each of us, and is God´s gift to us.

BUT IF WE ARE NOT TAUGHT EXACTLY WHAT THAT ALL MEANS, IT WILL REMAIN DORMANT.

If we are taught how to use the abilities we were given, and also taught about the PRINCIPLES which they function under, it is all as if we had no potential to do anything.

And that photo you are using looks very much like someone I dated years ago.

I did not understand anything you said...must be a good reason for that.

You are God.

I have no other way of saying this except straight out.

I have seen that the Father and I are one.LITERALLY

This is not just true of me...it is true of all of us...it is potential...one that is there waiting for you and only you.

3474,

you will find that as you unfold your will not need teaching, it is instilled from the mind of god that is you.

the more open the mind the more access you have to this wisdom.

you do not need to be taught how to heal with high frequency...it radiates from you and your being blesses and heals all that come in contact with you.

That is pretty much as it was when I was dating the girl who looked like the photo/avatar that you use.

WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER EITHER.
