Im from a mystic order that is anti drug

We can produce mystic states of esctasy, spiritual orgasm, spirit conjuring, astral travel and more with simple mantras and breathing techniques passed on by esoteric orders

Matter of fact, I had to be clean of all drugs for a number of years before I could embark on the journey

It makes me disappointed that substances and drugs are promoted here when its not even necessary.

Just because you & your 'order' have chosen to embark down one path, you don't need to be so condescending to those who ingest entheogens...it's a pretty ancient tradition ya know

But people are behind and withheld from this info.

Shamanic drugs have been promoted mainly for thousands of years. The other alternative has not.

Yes - on light doses - otherwise I was waaaaay too occupied to paint. That was many years ago though. Last time I tripped was in 1997. The chemist had just finished making up 20,000 hits and gave us the 2 bindles that the original powder came in. (LSD starts as powder, made into liquid and then spread on blotter paper which is perferated into tiny tabs) Each bindle originally held the powder for 10,000 hits - 3 of us licked the bindles - I went to the nexus where all time and space converge - haven't needed to trip since. :)

Simply amazing! Very interesting, indeed. Is that one of your pieces?

LOL! No - just something I found on the internet that exemplifies psychadelic art.

What do you mean the other alternative has not been promoted...I personally came upon both ways at approximately the same time, they kinda go hand & hand as far as "alternative" ideas...

Very true!

I saw/understood how and why people "don't come back" during my last BIG trip. Let's see if I can put it into the words of this reality....

You have to leave a marked trail when you begin your trip or you may get lost and never find "home" again. In other words, KNOW who you are and where you are in that moment before you set out. A trip can fragment you and you dissolve into the whole - all things one with no beginning and no end. You must CHOOSE to reassamble as well as REMEMBER original form/state.

Hope that makes some sense for those that have never tripped.

Starry Nights was also part of the lead poisoning period. It is clear that the lead had an amazing effect on his painting.

I wonder what it did to his thought patterns?
I should clarify that, cuz I know it made him nuts, he did chop off his own ear after all, lol.

But I wonder if he realized what it was doing to his art and his thought process.

Re: Watch What Happens When a Portrait Artist Takes LSD
There's a great documentary that came out in 2011. It has the film footage of Ken Kesy and the Merry Pranksters trip on their bus ride across USA in the early 60's. I think it's called Magic Trip? Really fun to see the innocence and joy of a group exploring LSD together. Ken Kesey was one of the first people to undergo lsd in the clinical trials when the cia were attempting to find uses for it. It was legal up until late 1966.

Unfortuanlty pharma drugs and cheap drugs like crack has pretty much killed the market on lsd. I haven't heard about lsd being around since the 90's.

Tribute song to Tim Leary, LSD guru.

Edit to add this tidbit of info.:

Seven grams of Leary's ashes were launched into space aboard a rocket carrying the remains of 24 other people including Gene Roddenberry (creator of Star Trek), Gerard O'Neill (space physicist), Krafft Ehricke (rocket scientist), and others. A Pegasus rocket containing their remains was launched on April 21, 1997, and remained in orbit for six years until it burnt up in the atmosphere.

Not true...pure LSD hits you pretty fast, within 30 mins. If it takes much longer then that, it's probably LSA or some other research chemical. Just sayin...

Each bindle then held a gram of LSD, so even the barely visible traces would have been hundreds of doses for each of you. Insanity! That's pretty close to what some people call a "thumbprint" dose.
I was tripping hard one time and this girl wanted me to draw on her hand, I wanted to draw a mushroom but it turned out to be just a crooked squiggly line haha. Drawing is hard when you're coming up on a strong trip.

Not true...pure LSD hits you pretty fast, within 30 mins. If it takes much longer then that, it's probably LSA or some other research chemical. Just sayin...

How fresh it is also affects how fast it kicks in.

The freshest I ever did started less then 15 min after taking it.

Wow Purple Chicken..did you paint while experiencing? Would be interesting to see :)

Whoa mama! That is a hefty dose Purple Chicken. I did more than a few trips back in the day, always kept it at or under 500 mics though. Never had a bad experience with it, learned a tremendous amount. Some of which I even managed to bring back with me heheh. I have to respect the portrait artist in that he could function as well as he did. You can see how the different intensities of the waves affect him as he goes along. Then again he was probably locked in a plain room with a researcher staring at him..losing himself into his art would be the winning option.
As his vision slowly cleared, the traveler came to the startling realization that he had been sitting by the side of the road, repeatedly hitting himself in the head with his walking staff. He had in fact been doing this for a quarter of a century.

Shaking his head at his own folly, he dusted himself off, set his gaze upon the road up the mountain and once more set off upon his journey.

Re: Watch What Happens When a Portrait Artist Takes LSD
What most do not know is that LSD has always been a part of mankind's transformation throughout history. Ever since civilizations based on farming began, there has been some level of human-LSD interaction. LSD is an isolated compound of the "brain" of a very common fungus called ergot that grows on grain crops. Many times throughout history, people have had "acid" trips.

Most of the time this was severely negative, accompanied with bouts of gangrene, burning sensations, foaming at the mouth, seizures, and a host of other discomforts. It is now called ergotism, but in the past was called "St. Anthony's Fire".

LSD (or a compound similar in the ergot) is thought to have fueled the Ancient Greek Eleusian Mysteries, which Plato and Arisotle both attended. A secret drink made from a special grain was given to each participant. What went on there was considered secret, and could not be spoken about outside of the event. This event was separate from the Dionysian Festivals which were alcohol fueled and orgiastic.

Look at the Beatles. Everything from Rubber Soul on is incredible.

The boy band stuff before it...not so much.

With all that said, this is dangerous stuff. Street drugs are bad because you never know what you are getting. So don't.

Weak minds need not apply. You will lose.
