Scientists Creating Nanobots that Backpack off Bacteria for transportation!
This is phantasmagoric exotica at its finest right here.

Scientists are creating nanotech that is equipped with medicines, transistors, sensors and key components that can use bacteria as a transportation source. Like hopping a train to travel the country. Great concept if you think about it. This is a natural way of transportation mother nature provides. Now lets look at the dark side of this incredible technology.

What can the Harkonnen do with these Nano Cylons? Designer disease created wifi with the push of a button? Don't forget the self replicating Synthetic DNA aka grey goo or the nanotech that boasts rewriting matter at a cellular level.

How about the Nano Goblins that turn brain cells into micro sized CPU's with multiple transistors?!

Good stuff.....

"Cargo-carrying bacteria may be an answer to a major roadblock in using nano-medicine to prevent, diagnose and treat disease," David H. Gracias, Ph.D., leader of the research team said. Gracias explained that nanotechnology is the engineering of ultra-small machines and other devices. These devices generally lack practical self-sustaining motors to move particles of medication, sensors and other material to diseased parts of the body. So why not attach such cargo to bacteria, which have self-propulsion systems, and have them hike around the human body?"

In addition, bacteria can respond to specific biochemical signals in ways that make it possible to steer them to desired parts of the body. Once there, bacteria can settle down, deposit their cargo and grow naturally. Bacteria already live all over the body, particularly in the large intestine, with bacterial cells outnumbering human cells 10-to-1. Despite their popular reputation as disease-causers, there are bacteria in the human body, especially in the intestinal tract, that are not harmful, and the backpackers fall into that category.

DNA Self Replicating Synthetic

Researchers created a synthetic genome by copying an existing one — Mycoplasma mycoides — and transplanting it into Mycoplasma capricolum. How can we be sure that the M. mycoides is synthetic? When recreating it, the team added a number of non-functional "watermarks" to the genome, making it distinct from the wild version. Once implanted, the M. mycoides genome "booted up" the recipient cells, deleting or disrupting 14 genes. The bacteria went on to function normally, meaning the transplant worked.

Called “Cyberplasm,” this robot would mash up biomimicking robotic components with actual mammalian cells to create robot systems and sensors that respond to stimuli like chemicals and light the way living organisms do. “Eye” and “nose” sensors would be derived from animal cells, while an artificial electronic nervous system will record data from Cyberplasm’s surroundings and respond to external stimuli via artificial muscles that are powered by glucose.

'Your best shot at happiness, self-worth and personal satisfaction - the things that constitute real success - is not in earning as much as you can but in preforming as well as you can something you consider worthwhile. Whether that is healing the sick, giving hope to the hopeless, adding to the beauty of the world or saving it from a nuclear holocaust...' William Raspberry.

Dam, so that's why I'm feeling all weird lately.??.
I love physics. It bonds us eternally, it's what makes our computers work, it's what's in my morning cup of coffee, it's the thing that keeps the universe from vanishing due to lack of belief...

The astronomer Carl Sagan once asked, “Who speaks for Earth?” Soon, the Earth may speak for itself.

That’s the goal of HP Labs Central Nervous System for the Earth, or CeNSE. The research and development program aims to build a planetwide sensing network using billions of tiny, cheap, tough and exquisitely sensitive detectors.

“We’re surrounded by technological assets that are deaf, blind, can’t taste, can’t smell and can’t feel,” says Stan Williams, an HP senior fellow who leads the Information and Quantum Systems Lab (IQSL). “CeNSE is all about giving all this compute power the awareness of what’s going on in the environment around it,” says Peter Hartwell, senior researcher and project team lead.

These guys brag about spreading 1 trillion nano sized chips across the planet for 24/7 VR tracking of the World and its inhabitants.

These chips are so small they can easily get lodged into humans and animals.

GREY GOO is a reality!

One of the hallmarks of living things is self-replication, the ability to make new copies of biological structures. Scientists have harnessed this ability in several ways, using DNA and viruses to organize materials for things like solar panels. But inducing artificial self-replication, which would enable new types of self-fabricating materials, has proven more difficult. Now researchers at New York University say they’ve taken a step in that direction, building a complex artificial system that can self-replicate.

No one has ever seen a perfect circle, nor a perfectly straight line, yet everyone knows what a circle and a straight line are.
Perceived circles or lines are not exactly circular or straight, and true circles and lines could never be detected since by definition they are sets of infinitely small points.
