Earrings--Why has Hollywood given them up?
I've been noticing this for a long time now. Very famous movie stars have forsaken their pierced ears and are not wearing earrings--not 100% but enough to make me wonder why?

I always notice--on men and women--on TV and in the movies--you can see that they have pierced ears, the holes are plainly visible--so the lack of earrings looks bad, and they never bother to edit the holes out.

For instance yesterday--the star in "Mirror Mirror" no earrings--even when she was dressed up with a crown.

It seems weird to me that more times than not--people in the media are not wearing earrings.

Lately I've taken to not wearing any metal jewelry--earrings will be the last to go since I hate the look of the holes.

With all the EMF's, radiation, WiFi, cell phones......so much electromagnetic radiation and smog--could the earrings act as an antenna and draw and increase radiation near the brain?

Seriously, it is like they know something we don't. Is it harming their performance?

Red carpet events is like the only time I see earrings anymore.

Anyone else notice this??

Interesting, I hadn't noticed that but I've quit wearing earings though I used to always wear them. I don't even know why I've stopped wearing them.

I'm about to take mine out--I like to wear very small hoops that go into themselves so there is no sharp back--I've worn the current pair for years--but it is like I feel I don't want any metal on me or in me--

Metal fillings removed--one metal crown that is always bothering me.

I'm currently attracted to crystals, and stones--

Years ago--it was rare to see a woman without earrings.

Doesn't go with the horse hoof shoes and pigeon toed stance?

Maybe its "out" for a while so it can be the "fresh new thing" in a bit.

Just think of it, ladies! Jewellery, for your ears!

I have started trying to wear glasses without metal frames for reading. I think I have answered my question--this--vvvvvv (below)

"Don't sit too close to your computer. Computer monitors vary greatly in the strength of their EMFs, so you should check yours with a meter. Don't stand close to your microwave oven. Move all electrical appliances at least 6 feet from your bed. Eliminate wires running under your bed. Eliminate dimmers and 3-way switches."

"Be wary of cordless appliances such as electric toothbrushes and razors. You may choose not to wear a quartz-analog watch because it radiates pulsating EMFs along your acupuncture meridians."

"An older mechanical windup watch would be an acceptable alternative. It is also recommended to wear as little jewelry as possible and to take it off at night. Many people have metal sensitivity which can be aggravated by placing it right on the skin. Measure with a gauss meter to be sure."

"And last, but not least, always always always remember that EMFs pass right through walls. The EMF you are reading on your Gauss meter could be radiating from the next room...or from outside your home."

Additional Radiation Info:

"Eyeglass frames should ideally be made from plastic with no wires in them, otherwise they can serve as an antenna to focus the radio and cellular phone waves directly into your brain."

Re: Earrings--Why has Hollywood given them up?
This is strange I havent noticed because I havent watched TV for years. I believe you though because like a previous commenter said, earrings have left my life.

I dont wear makeup anymore either. If I do bother with jewelery its a necklace. Even rings feel weird. Bracelets? No really in my way.

Strange for sure. The only thing I can think of is everyone is realizing its all bullshit. Makeup, earrings, high heels, all of it is bullshit. I still like heels although I have been ugg booting for awhile due to living in the mountains.

OP I think you are way too sensitive to the holes, I never notice them. I dont even notice when people get a new hairdo or anything else either, so maybe we are on opposite sides of that kind of spectrum.

I'm just a very visual person--everyone has a different strength--I'm not good with sounds or music. My husband and son notice if something is off with a musical performance--I never notice.

I have stopped wearing much make-up, and prefer very comfortable shoes--jewelry just doesn't interest me much--

But, I do think about it acting as an antenna--imagine I used to wear metal headbands!! (to keep my hair out of my face) --gave me headaches too.

EM fields? My aunt who is smart as me but emotionally fucked, (I'm real smart even though I dont choose to sound like it), she had her house analyzed for EMFs and turns off certain breakers before she goes to bed.

I really understand her but at the same time believe in evolution. EMFs I dont notice, so I dont worry about it. But the benefits of all our EMFs I think outweigh the drawbacks. Like chlorine in our water. Yea fluoride sucks but chlorine prevents so many diseases.

I think youre onto something though OP, us women are more sensitive to everything, and if "famous" women are not wearing earrings either, then something is up

I think it's the current trend....kinda like at one time women had very long fingernails and now it's dated. Seems going natural/green is the popular thing to do.

Earrings. Pendants or rings worn on the ears, either clasped or pierced, that you may hear Truth with the inner ear. (Caution: when choosing extra piercings, be advised that there are several major acupuncture points around the ear. Placement should be precise. . . generally it is best to avoid these points.)

Re: Earrings--Why has Hollywood given them up?
What is the effect of wearing Earrings?
A common thought that occurs to many people is to question the consequence of wearing earrings when they are located at auricular acupuncture points. The classical location of earrings placed on the center of the ear lobe occurs at the eye point and has been reported to relieve visual disturbances. The response of ear reflex points to earrings depends on both the healing of the skin tissue where the ear has been pierced and the type of metal used in the ear ring. If the skin where the ear has been pierced has not completely healed, the metal in the ear ring can release electrically charged ions into the skin. Whether those ions help or harm any pathology in the corresponding part of the body depends upon whether the metal is gold, which releases positive ions, or silver, which releases negative ions.

Easier to read reflex chart of ears--never know about this--knew about eye charts, and foot charts--interesting

So you wonder if idiotic Hollywood and "movie stars" are the gauge for . . . anything?

Idiocy, immorality, yes. But what you're referring to? No.

There are risks/dangers all around us . . . some real, some fabricated and exaggerated . . . you can be overly cautious about one thing and not be able to control another - who knows anymore.

Hmmm...fear of jewelry

"I have also had this intense disgust for jewellery my entire life! I have had exactly the same experiences everyone else has described. I also loathe commercials for the stuff."

"I am studying psychology and what I experience doesn't even seem like a true phobia. Jewellery doesn't scare me, it disgusts me. I am surprised I have never heard of anybody else that experiences this as well. Or even if there is a psychological term for this disgust, because I don't believe it is a phobia. I will ask one of my professors what they think and get back to you guys."

"I also worry about what I am going to do if I get married one day. Does anyone have any ideas?"

Maybe they finally learned that for men to wear an earring, it has been a sign of being a slave dating back thousands of years ago.

Re: Earrings--Why has Hollywood given them up?
Well, whatever the reason others are not wearing metal jewelry, I've taken out the earrings I put in 4 years ago.

Not as a fashion statement, but because I don't really care about the jewelry and I do think there is something to all the new EMF's we are surrounded with today--and metal does act as an antenna drawing the EMF's to you.

Obviously we can't escape electricity or Cell phone usage, but we can limit it's effects.

I don't have anything plugged in near my bed and I turn the WiFi off while we sleep.

I'm thankful that kids text instead of talk on their cell phones for the most part--as that is a bit safer than holding the phone to your skull.

Imagine that AC 160V is the worst for us? Crazy.

I guess I'm just old fashioned but I hope to see less of the black nail polish on men and women--

Interesting side note-- my Daughter just joined a sorority and there initiation ceremony they had to wear all white and no make-up, no hair done and no jewelry--kinda of nice. Like accept me as I am.

Interesting thread that needs to be revived.

Have you noticed Hollywood actresses wearing earrings in the last two years?
