Why are we not able to control our subconscious mind?
We may like doing something consciously but our subconscious may not like it, or have other plans instead.

Our subconscious mind normally tries to communicate with us when we are asleep and dreaming.

Why are we not able to control our subconscious mind?

Or does our subconscious self have a mind of its own?

damned

Re: Why are we not able to control our subconscious mind?
Its because the sub and concious are linked. The more you go into sub like with dmt the more you cant remember vice versa if you are a light sleeper on a drug that plays havoc on your dreams the more you remember, so it could be that dreaming is actually a mechanism to keep you alive while you sleep. Maybe taking a drug that sends you far into the sub concious world stimulates your heart also to keep you alive. You can only guess what the sub mind is. Maybe its your real you. Maybe your concious brian is a lie to keep you in this world. Never done dmt tho

Habits are powerful things.

They seem more powerful than the one who created them.

There comes a point to where you realize that inner voice has a mind of it's own .....when It answers you back with the answer you know good and well you did not know...

You sit dumbfounded at your own gullible self.....and the wonder of that inner voice that is always there whether it speaks back to you or not...

One good thing about being ignorant is when you are told the definition ,meaning after you are given the information you have never heard read or seen never never knew......

You say thank you to that inner voice that is always there and speaks to you when you are ready to listen to it......

during the times you go along sane according to the worlds standards.....flipping and tripping and bumbling and fumbling wile doing that world jive........that inner voice is speaking to you like a song with rhyme and rhythm in your deepest sleep and as you away you are coming up remembering only your part in your person view while the seeds it left lay deeply embedded.....

When the seed case erodes over time in that dark deep space and germinates with some world walking....and jive talking to your own self you thought...all your past is redeemed by its springing forth to life knowing ever step you took every every where you looked.....every thought you thought and every wonder you wondered...

And it shows you what in all of that you missed......which is the answer to it being fixed and settled...

You are stuck on that inner voice hooked to it that sticketh closer than a brother...perfect company you and that one made for each other....

you are now considered nuts......and happily butty you are.

Re: Why are we not able to control our subconscious mind?
If your subconscience is fighting with your conscious mind all the time (iow, causing problems), that means that you are not being completely authentic and honest with yourself and others.

The more your subconscious and conscious mind are in agreement, the more 'real' you are, to yourself and in the persona which you present to society.

I prefer to be real, even when others may criticize the 'real me'. I love me, and if no one else does I can live with that. I don't enjoy presenting an 'image' for others to see. I want to know who among my peers is like me, rather than try to pretend that I'm like them (when often I'm not).

Although not the source for all of my views on the subject, I would recommend everyone interested in psychology to watch Ingmar Bergman's film, "Persona".

When it shows her making love to a strange woman, please understand that it's not because Bergman decided to add a gratuitous sex scene to his movie, lol. She's actually symbolically making love to her Self (in her dream).

Most of us lose our sense of Self, when trying to please others or Society. The Hopi say, "Lose your temper, lose a friend; lie and you lose your Self."

Erich Fromm makes great reading too, especially his "The Art of Loving"; fantastic book.

Music sounds best when both ears are functioning optimally and the balance control is in the 12 o'clock position.
