My husband's grandmother has Alzheimer's, and is in a coma. She has been in pain, and was hooked up to feeding tubes. We made a hard decision to remove the tubes, and now it is only a matter of time. We will be going to Florida for the funeral probably next week. Quoting: Dease I am sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what it must have been like for you and your family to be put into a position to make such decision. You did the right thing. Thinking of you and your family. Take care and much love, sweetheart! Thank you sweetie. She passed away last night. She was an amazing woman, and brought many beautiful children and grandchildren into this world. I only wish I'd spent more time with her! Sorry for your loss ! May God comfort all of you ! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

My prayers include all my GLP friends and acquaintances everyday. And when I read of your personal distress, I pray. Even if i don't post, know that I petition God for your comfort and blessings. Here is an 'Ole and Lena' joke to help lighten the mood. ;-`) Ole is on his deathbed. The doctor has told him he has only a few hours to live. He catches the scent of his favorite cookies wafting through the air. With all the strength he can muster, he drags himself into the kitchen and sees a fresh pan cooling on the rack. He cuts one out and bites into the scrumptious cookie. Lena comes in, smacks his hand, and says, “Shame on you, Ole! Dese are for after de funeral!” --- Last Edited by wisc_natureboy on 03/09/2013 08:20 PM We all breathe the same air. .-.. --- ...- . / .- .-.. .-.. |

I feel like such an old lady for getting excited about this! LOL. For those of you who are not familiar with ShutterFly, it is a company that makes custom cards, labels, and other items with family photos on them, etc. As of right now, they are having a deal where you can order a free sheet of envelope labels. The deal is being advertised on Facebook. In order to get it, you must put in the code "FBADDRESS" as your promo code when you check out. They are normally $7-$9.99. You will only pay $2 for shipping and handling. I just ordered some. I was able to load a family photo, and customize the colors, font and design. It should be delivered in about a week. This is a great deal, and I just wanted to share it with you. It expires tomorrow at 11:58 PM. You can go to www.shutterfly.com to register and get started. "Be strong and courageous. Don't really know what that means, but it's interesting. If you have a couple of extra minutes, feel free to check this beat out and tell me what you think..! Brawndo's got electrolytes. |
