But it didn't seem like his employer Outdoor Adventureswho who ordered the killings got charged. Maybe I need to read it again, but I don't think so. The slaughter originally came to light because the guy filed for post traumatic stress in his claim for workers' comp. So he had suffered in having to do the killing. But his boss that made him gets off scott free. |

I agree. But shouldn't the employer have gotten charged as well? It was there idea. They are accessories. |

Quoting: chulahoma When I think of these horrors that we've done to animals, I want to denounce my species.. 60 billion animals a year get slaughered for food in the US alone. Many are treated much worse than these dogs. This is a tragedy, yes, but we don't treat any animal well in our culture. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 14778597 ![]() 04/20/2012 10:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is standard practice for real working sled dogs to be shot because they hardly ever can be re trained. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14481685 Perhaps it would have been better if the dogs had killed a child and mauled a few people. True, but you can't really argue with dogtards using logic and reason. I have a friend who is an animal behaviorist with a "rescued" doberman mix. It was supposed to be euthanized due to aggression but she "saved" it. Despite years of work on her part the damn thing still came at me for no reason and took a chunk out of my leg a couple of years back. This was after I had met and interacted with the animal on many previous occasions. |

If someone wants to eat animal flesh, they should go to a local butcherwho sells meat of well-treated animals. Any mass slaughter is is indicative of a system out of balance. This case is interesting because of the public outcry. Many many many dogs are killed each day at the local humane society. Why did this story grab people's attention? I think it was because of the blatant disrespect of the dogs. |
