Student Loans are called "Your Loan" on your unilateral contract (only your signature is on it, not the schools signature). Since your name, and not theirs is on it, you don't have a contract with the school. No contract, no pay back to them.

What you did was promise to discharge the school cost, that you borrowed from your own Treasury Account ("Your Loan"..to yourself).

Yea, great. How about the low end of the food chain? You know, renters, people 'living' in boxes, RV's, cars etc., looks to me like they all get screwed, they get nothing..except probably higher rent from all those new 'property owners'. Not good enough that they make so much $ off normal mortgages. They had to pull every last dime out of mortgage holders pockets via the mortgage crisis. A few people get ultra wealthy, while the rest of us lose everything

How else can you have $100,000 equity in a house one day and -$100,000 the next.

I was way ahead in 2007 and planned to sell my property and move and use the profit from equity to put a down payment on a new home, but it aint happening now.

A global debt Jubilee is the only possible resolution to free us all from this mess. But, it will NEVER happen.

why not forgive $100,000 off of all mortgages. the average price of a house is over $200,000. The very poor would have their mortgage erased and the very rich wouldn't benefit very much. it is the working poor that need it the most and would benefit the most and it would be a big boost to the economy.
