I often wonder if the whole premise behind the mayans ending the calendar is to cause the exspansion of consciousness, which in turn starts all the events in motion. If no date was ever set would we drift ever farther into complacant redundancy of evolution. The date forces us to look at our true selves and the steps needed for growth
