There's about 3 more ppl from AL I haven't seen post here on here yet, so I assume they'll be in later on in the day.

That site is a search using your zipcode, so you can see the nearest seismic station near you.

We stopped at DeSoto Caverns back in Dec. (S of B'ham and N of Talladega) We were trveling thru the area. In the middle of the tour, I looked at my family and said, "Ya know...this would be a terrible time for an earthquake!" Yeah, morbid thought...I know! Anyway, if you look around the cavern, you can see evidence of some pretty intense quakes. Cool stuff!!!

cannot see any history of this happening before. 5 quakes in appox 24 hours is unheard of around these parts.
 Quoting: OVRANALYZE

I am not sure if it is just shakes due to the big stuff going on around the globe or an event of it's own starting. Maybe a combo of both? I have got to stop watching and get on with life! 1doh1

Camped there with the Scouts a long time ago.

AL gets hit from time to time with 'em. Few and far between fortunately, but when the big ones come they are devastating.

Here's the fault that bisects the state.

Never felt any here on the AL Gulf Coast, but more than enough when I lived in San Francisco. Kept bag ready to head into the hills of Marin Co. if big one hit.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams - Acts 2:17 (KJV)

well i dont know but it could be a fracking situation. the USGS isnt listing any of these quakes, plus the area of activity is a big natural gas producing area. YES, i think we will see more activity and larger quakes down the road.
