CMEs can cause earthquakes & volcanic eruptions (hypothesis)

It is claimed that neutrinos from the sun can influence the rate of radioactive decay of substances on earth.

If a CME results in extra neutrinos (among other things) being launched at earth, it could cause a short-term increase in radioactive decay of uranium & thorium inside the earth. This would heat the core & increase pressure inside the earth, resulting in earthquakes and/or volcanic eruptions.
