Mark of Cain = Birthmark

I have no birthmark.

Not sure if this qualifies or not. I have one in my eye and my youngest child has the same mark. One of my ancestors was Sigurd Snake-in-the-eye.

Some have suggested that the Lord of the Rings was based on this family line. His grandfathers nickname was "Ring" his great grandfathers name was Gandolf, who lived in Alfheim between raum Elf and Gaul Elf Rivers.

One other family members name was Onund Treefoot Ofeigsson. While he didn't get this name because he was part tree it may have inspired J. R. R. Tolkien flights of fantasy.

I have a birthmark on my thigh, a spot that's darker than my skin. I also have what looks like the constellation Orion only left arm. And sirius a and b on my right. I always thought they had meaning, being that they correct magnitude and distance

I have what looks like a red lotus birthmark viewed from the side of the flower on my inner right ankle/shin. It will turn white for about 3 seconds when pressed. My blood line is Scottish, English, Irish, Welsh and Norwegian being the major. However my Scottish bloodline is said to possibly go back to the ancient kings of Scotland.

I am a Freemason and Knight Templar and have a history of them in my family.

I wonder if this shares any significance too?

I have a "thumb print" size birth mark on my right thigh ( back) and on my abdomen is a series of marks that form a "little dipper " constellation shape , the funny thing is that my mom has the same exact one on her abdomen ( but not the one on the thigh , my son has a smaller one on his thigh )

Hmmm...not sure if beauty marks or moles are the same or bear any signifigance. I have tons of them on me and always have. No actual birthmarks though. I do have a series of four very distinct and dark moles on my chest that form a cross. One at the belly button, one in the middle of my sternum and on on each side of my chest at the lower inside of my pecks. A few others in there too, but not as dark.

me again want to add it is golden brown and until now saw it as a bunch of little dots but looking at it now I can see two characters one female the other other male. the female has on a odd shaped hat and an attena sticking out of the top. the male looks has dark glasses on eye and the face is elongated sort of dog like but the body seems that of a bear. In fact both characters remind of images from a fairytale but can't think what one.

Very odd. BTW I am Irish as far back as I know which is several generations.

I disagree. The mark of Cain is very simple, blue eyes. A Danish researcher recently said everyone on earth had brown eyes until 12,000 years ago. Blue eyes in a sea of brown would be a very distinct mark indeed....

The birthmark has played a major role in ancient to even modern Mythology and history like you stated. James II was King of Scots and nicknamed "Fiery Face" referred for a vermilion birthmark on his face.

Very interesting read there. I was born with a singular small grouping of thin veins that very clearly look like a tree. and a small bump in front of my right ear. Unfortunately I have so far been unsuccessful in finding out where my heritage starts. The earliest I can go back is to 1909 at the usual spot where people come in, but the origin of the surname and by extension my roots just dont seem to exist in any electronic archives.

My understanding is that I AM related to the Ancient Scottish and Irish High Kings. Sun God in Celtic Mythology Has Birthmark that represent sun spots and you have the stories with King Arthur's birthmark and The Story of Sir Launcelot. However, I do not have much birthmark data from the Scottish and Irish High Kings. So, it is nice to get your feedback and only makes perfect sense.

Augustus Caesar is in our family line. My oldest daughter has these spots on her stomach. Guess I need to look at them closely. She and my youngest have blue eyes that are like spokes in a wheel or shattered glass. Truly beautiful.

I suggest anyone who is interested to work on their family tree. I have for 5 years now.

I decided to check my legs for a birth mark and I found one. It's on my left outer thigh.

It's very hard to see, but it's there.

It's about the size of a fist. A splotch that is a bit darker than my normal color.
