Is any one else suffering from allergies right now???? :( | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15056529 ![]() 04/26/2012 04:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I feel terrible this afternoon, my nose is runny, my eyes are watery, I'm sneezing continuously and my head aches, I basically feel like crap. I've taken some allergy meds but they seem to not be working now. This is the worst for allergies I've ever experienced, hope it doesn't go on for days like this. I've also cleaned my furnace filter and closed my windows in the house (it's windy outside), is there anything else I can do to relieve these allergy symptoms? I'm miserable because of them. Quoting: KateSask ![]() Get yourself some Bee Pollen and start taking it every day. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 14976260 ![]() 04/26/2012 05:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes. Past couple of weeks here in Boston, the pollen count for trees and grass has been extremely high and high. Rained a little past few days so it's moderate today, suppose to go back up to high tomorrow, weekend. Monday I had literally tears rolling down my face in the afternoon/evening from the grass pollen. Now I'm popping 4-6 pills a day. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 14507441 ![]() 04/26/2012 05:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry OP, my reply was all about me! I hope you feel better, I just cannot stop sneezing and wheezing. It actually hurts when I sneeze because its so violent. I'm in NJ, not sure what the pollen count is but I've heard it is higher than normal for April. |
KateSask (OP) User ID: 1525465 ![]() 04/26/2012 05:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | no but try this: 1 or 2 coffee spoon of organic salt (it's important to use organic like pink salt or grey whatever but organic ok) in a glass and wash your nose with it. Quoting: Monbazillac it's disgusting because the water must go really into your nose not only on the surface but inside, do this for a couple of day and you will see the difference. I don't have that in the house but I think I'd be too chicken to do that anyways! I've had water up my nose before while swimming, it hurts! ![]() |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 14236345 ![]() 04/27/2012 08:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well it all depends on what u are allergic to. for 3 weeks i have had allergies so bad i almost went to the hospital. nonstop sneezing, eyes swole almost shut, couldn't breathe. honestly i thought i was dying. finally went to doc so he could pronounce me dead and he informed me i had allergies. had them before but never like this. i know the natural cures but i'll take the big pharma route on this. currently on some nasal spray called astepro and allegra. |

I feel better today but I think it's because it rained. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions you gave me, I added a few things to my grocery list to pick up when I go to the city next. ![]() |
tiger1 User ID: 6269153 ![]() 04/27/2012 09:10 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hate taking meds for my allergies, which are really bad this year. I think it is due to all the strong winds we have been getting, over here at the southern tip of Lake Michigan. At night, before I go to bed, I rub eucalyptus oil on my chest. It really unblocks my sinuses and relieves a lot of the congestion from my lungs. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
Xerces User ID: 1713051 ![]() 04/27/2012 09:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Past two weeks...complete misery. Got some claritin and I'm cleared up. "A truth's initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker, a raving lunatic." -Dresden James "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident." -Arthur Schopenhauer |
