What the f TSA has such a back log for checking the applicants they hire then check later

TSA is so back logged checking back ground on the new applicants they hire then say they will check them latter. How in the hell can they be checking US citizens and not checking the people who are checking you, oh excuse me I mean feeling you. Hell they could be pedophiles or anything. Every US citizen should refuse to fly for at least a week, that should send a signal to them.
