New-agers brought us channellers, the galactic federation of light, Rael, 2012 mayan !@#$%^&*, mass suicides, and all the associated craziness thanks to all who dabbled in psychic experiences thinking it's cool and fun, while most simply become deluded or crazy.
Plus new-age has been notably (can be proven) hijacked by the CIA.
For all that, I'm grateful to new-age.
