I understand but there is truth in there. Don't let the morons keep you down. I have studied many things....philospphy, logic, EST, Scientology, Christianity, just to name a few...and found peices of truth in all of it. I really think that truth is subjective. What are you ready to hear? What are you ready to experience?

I studied these things too for 15 years. I had many mystical and psychic experiences. But I also studied sciences, psychology, history, theology, etc... I know what I'm talking about, thanks :)

Religions don't dismiss these experiences, Christian mysticism for example is one of many religious mysticism.

But they also teach about the traps associated to them.

New-age NEVER talks about those traps; delusions and self-aggrandizing fantasies.

New-age take this subject not very seriously.

That's not true at all...I have studied meditation and was warned plenty by a teacher about the traps in that...which I won't go into detail on...and I also find many other so called new age philosophies now days are also teaching some warnings...but just because some people choose to not listen doesn't make that teaching invaluable.

I see only one negative thing in all systems and human. Leader or person want to have everything like hamster. See only me me me me me me my my my my my. Take everything end never see enough for him. Its problem when ppl have more and dont want to share. Or want more MONEY for "fake" idea how to gain wealth. I see ppls stupidnes how they start obey dead artists or famous persons. Its like marketing trick for all sheeps.We start to obey death anyone see it? Deaths rise prices and make more sells. Sheeps want dead ppl THINGS. This is what i call mind control...

Unfortunately, most if not all websites about new-age, which are where 90% of the self-called new-agers get their info from, don't warn people about all the deception.

You just have to read the posts of the new-agers on GLP to know I'm right.

Also, to be labelled "new-age" it must be about the new-age of aquarius. Otherwise it's mainly old spiritual teachings, like yoga, meditation, prayer, astral projection, with a new name.

What do you think about that "age of aquarius"? When is it supposed to begin?

I like the way you put that. It isn't "new age" or "religion" or any ideology or system of belief. It's the intention behind it. It's the intent of the one who chooses it. Each one of us must make our own way in life and make our own choices. Let us do it with open eyes.

i'll put it simple. Why can't we all just get along.

caution facts ahead that might upset some people. we are going into a new age.

yes the earth moves through space and we see space in a different view every night, that is simple facts. but saying something is going to happen is not fact, it's a guess. maybe something will maybe something won't. i'm hoping that something does. like a burst of energy that wakes everyone up and shows them we are all in this together and to stop all this stupid hate.

I just find it sad they don't warn each others about the dangers and pitfall of their practices, that's all. Also that there is a generalized lack of critical thinking in that field.

But I certainly don't hate them.

What if you don't get one? Will you go back to normal life and stop the fight?

What's the point of deadlines? Spiritual work is an endless task, a daily struggle. It never ends and there are always new children that awake to this reality and who needs to learn too.

There is alot of speculation...especially here in the U.S. about 2012....so much so that I am worried that there will be lots of idiots doing stupid things in fear of it.

Your better off staying away. America isn't the free society it sells itself as. I would like to find somewhere else to move but nowhere is perfect and I think the domination and control is a worldwide problem.

You are correct. But, one should always prepare themselves for earth changes....not from a basis of fear but from a base of knowing and loving the earth....Nature prepares...look at the ants....they are amazing. Look at chipmunks and squirrels...they store food away anticipating winter.

Human is a social animal, I don't expect to survive locked in my house with my guns. That would be a paranoid and antisocial attitude.

the ones that come in and put up uneducated comments are the ones that make the rest look so bad. i know a lot of people that do real research on this and i do as well. there are a lot of theories out there but people need to understand they are theories. no one has said those are facts. use your mind and your eyes to see for yourself and if you disagree with someone give your view and hear what they have as input on yours. then we are start making progress.

It's true, but educated "new-agers" should also do the self-examination of their movement, and dare to speak out their truth more often when others start abusing or spreading manipulative or deceptive ideas. Religious people are expected to do the same, so it's only normal to hope the new-age community will start the work of separating the grain from the chaff. The problem is that usually they have a tendency to say "we can't deny someone an opinion or theory" because new-age is a syncretic movement.

I disagree. Especially if the theory is clearly manipulative or dangerous.
