Since I use free WIFI hotspots only, I may try this. I noticed they have over 3000 movies priced at around $5. With what's coming down the pike, you tards may want to build a huge collection. |

I guess this would work for these folks if they are buying something online that isn't available in the store, but if it was available in the store why wouldn't you just take it home yourself instead of shipping it? Quoting: snark I think there are some things on Walmart.com that aren't available in all stores though, but good point. |

The change reflects the current economic conditions in the U.S., as Walmart states (citing FDIC figures) that one in four U.S. households is “unbanked” or “underbanked” – meaning they rely on cash for their purchases. Quoting: Laura Bow But wait.... I thought the evil banks had their grip on 99% of the population? Now we see it may only be 75% ?! ;) Seriously though, 1 in 4 do not have a bank account? I find that very hard to believe. |

Walmart.com is launching a new way to checkout, targeting customers who don’t have credit or debit cards…or money in the bank for that matter. The company is now allowing customers to buy online and pay with cash. The change reflects the current economic conditions in the U.S., as Walmart states (citing FDIC figures) that one in four U.S. households is “unbanked” or “underbanked” – meaning they rely on cash for their purchases. Quoting: Laura Bow In addition, Walmart says the majority of its own in-store transactions are cash or debit, and only 15% are paid for using credit cards. In a survey, the retailer said that over two-thirds would opt for using cash as an online payment mechanism, if available. The way Walmart’s new system works is like this: shoppers can browse for items as usual on the website, and then add them to their cart and process to checkout. But during the checkout process, the option to “pay with cash” will be provided as an alternative to credit or debit cards now. After selecting that option, the customer then receives the order number on a confirmation page and an email receipt, which they then take to any local Walmart store or Neighborhood Market where they pay for the item. Quoting: snark They are not the same company, just have some kind of contract with each other. Walmart.com have different prices sometimes; also there are stuff that you cannot get online, only in the stores - interestingly you CAN order it online, just cant get it from there. I think Walmart have some quite customer friendly actions in general. Behind the loudest Walmart haters are mostly hiding the competitor big guys.
