It's a carbon star 400 to 500 light years away. It is coming toward our general direction at 91km/s.

Now, I'm no math wiz, but if my calculations are correct it may come somewhere vaguely near our solar system in, oh, the next 1.3 million years.

What about it? It's really far away, too, like 276 light years (if my rusty math skills are right), and it's radial velocity is only -3.7km/s:

The Google Sky data are quite old and there are thousands of glitches and artifacts (like half stars or black areas) in Google Sky.
Just missing data and processing errors.

If someone wants to hide something - why are the "blacked out areas" visible in the UV and IR view?

It was named that because anyone can edit wikisky and name it anything they want. Some nibirutards have been camping at that site lately and changing the name to Nibiru. I added "Stanky Bitches" to it the other day in order to prove the point.
