“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.
So it appears that Satan doesn't have a corner on the whole 'antifamily' notion.

Perhaps this is the difference between selfish love and true love. Only by arriving at 'that point' one recognizes the true intention of that passage. One must be careful in interpreting 'the bible' as to not contradict its spirit.
