Very important for anyone who's not already aware or paying attention, but our criminal justice system is set up to run like a profitable corporation. Is is NOT set up to enforce just laws and hand out just punishments. And more important, the criminal justice system is not designed to rehabilitate offenders. It likes to keep people in jail - that generates funding and revenue.
