political correctness is a doctrine.... fostered by a delusional, illogical minority...... and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media; which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Job market sucks in Texas. I'm trying to find a different job.

I have 12 years experience, a degree and while I do have a decent job now, I have not had a single reply. Pretty scary when you are on top of your game and cannot find a job.

I still have a job but I don't know for how long....with Obama care coming, everybody in the medical industry is nervous.

Only time will tell.

NO...they are not.

The layoffs and firings outnumber the hirings.

THAT is the root problem.

Month over month.....it's just headed into hell.

Its bad around here. If you dont have a job your fucked because your not going to get one unless you have TONS of experience and willing to take a HUGE pay cut and work for next to nothing... With crappy benefits and nowhere near 40 hours a week....
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Re: Thousands of layoffs in April
I live in Northern California, one of the worst states in terms of being hit hard by the recesssion. the unemployment rate is higher here than in most part of the country.

We have an indian casino about 3 miles from our house and every time I go in there the place is absolutely packed to the max - you can't find an empty machine or table anywhere. There are other casinos in the area as well and they are always crowded.

If the economy is so bad, you would never know it, as there are thousands of people around here that have enough disposable income to throw it away gambling.

very true, i live in Tacoma WA and we have 4 big casino's within 20 miles and they are ALWAYS packed. sad thing is that a lot of the people are gambling their unemployment checks, welfare and child support. I have 3 years clean from a compulsive gambling addiction....those casino's are the only buisness profiting from this shitty economy. everyone is "chasing the big win" its rather sad, i feel its the next epidemic, although its also the best kept secret.
