Mitt Romney and the Republican establishment have their hands full today as Romney is now actually losing (previously secured) delegates to Ron Paul nationally. In Maine where the vote had originally been rigged in favor of Romney, Paul has had a clean sweep taking all 21 delegates. But Paul's Maine victory pales in comparison to the slap in the face Paul gave Romney in his home state of Massachusetts's where Paul has picked up more than 60% of all the delegates.

Now Paul, loaded with cash and even more in confidence, is preparing to win all of Idaho's 32 delegates and there appears to be growing momentum in Texas to give a favorite son victory to Ron Paul against (as they see it), the tyrannical liberal from the northeast Mitt Romney.Idaho GOP Say Ron Paul Supporters Attempting To Hijack Republican P... newsradio1310.com
What's worse for Romney is GOP rules super cede state rules and there is a clause which allows any state to bring to the floor of the convention with a vote of 51% of their delegates, a proposal to eliminate bound delegates to vote their conscience. Once the state proposes, if 50% of 5 other states agree the measure is automatically passed. In that case, Paul would certainly have enough votes to stop Romney on the first ballot. Ron Paul has now won a majority of delegates in Maine, Washington, Nevada, Massachusetts's, Minnesota, Colorado, Missouri, Louisiana and Iowa. You do the math!
The GOP establishment growing fearful of being thrown out of power and in an effort to stop Ron Paul from winning the nomination have sent the Nevada Republican state chair a letter and a bunch of Washington lawyers, informing them (the Paul supporters), that if Ron Paul won Nevada the delegation would not be seated at the national convention. Shortly after the letter arrived, Ron Paul swept the Nevada delegation. The GOP is now threatening to unseat the Maine delegation too! I have empathy for the GOP officials for it must be a terrible feeling to know you're going to be thrown out of power.

I feel it is well worth worth mentioning the National Libertarian Party this weekend nominated former two term New Mexico Governor and Ron Paul ally, Gary Johnson who is polling at 7% nationally (while only being known by 27% of the population), which spells "big headache" for the GOP if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination.
Again, an even bigger problem for the establishment GOP. In this case, Ron Paul is so confident he is boldly stepping out as only a national candidate would, campaigning and endorsing like minded libertarians in order to boost their chances of winning in primary races. Paul wants to be sure when he unseats Romney in Tampa that he will take a like minded congress to Washington with him.
