CSPAN Guest Demands USA Meritocracy Uses His Children As Example

The wealthy have been using the meritocracy argument to justify their shell game of wealth redistribution up to them at the top.
In a Meritocracy everything is earned by work results. Sounds good on the face of it and there is a place for it, but the wealthy because they know Americans have been trained with an either or mentality try to slip shit like this by all day. The guests example was:

I have two children and one cookie both want it. One says you already had a cookie the other says but I helped make the cookie.

Who should have the Cookie? The guest says the child who made the cookie should have it.

First of all it is a bullshit argument and a fucked up way to teach your children after all you are one family.

Which hits at the heart of the issue is a Nation a form of extended family? I say it is obvious that it is for obvious reasons like shared culture,patriotism citizens marry each others children etc.

So how would a Meritocracy work in a family would you feed your children according to their work or their need. Families give according to NEED not according to what have you done for me lately.

So the wealthies argument for a meritocracy is ridiculous when taken out of the work place.

This is the problem (one of them) with thinking that a person who is successful in business will successfully Govern.
