China now owns AMC theaters

They said the same thing about Japan in the 80's.

Japan was buying up all sorts of land and buildings. I think they even owned the empire state building at one time.


Then with Japans new found wealth it became cheaper for them to manufacture their cars in the States. So they moved many of their car plants to the US because it was cheaper. Much of the south owes its success on Japans success.


Think about that for a bit and let it settle and then realize that China has 11 times as many people as Japan. When China becomes wealthy they will be hungry for cheap goods from the US.

Just as how the south was revitalized by Japanese Manufacturing I believe the whole US will be revitalized by Chinese Manufacturing. How far in the future is to be debated. But remember while we as simple people only think as far as our lifetimes those in control of the world economy think hundreds of years in the future.

Maybe I'm just an optimist. But all the same arguments we are having now were all argued in the 80's over Japan.
