Unfortunately, if you are very smart, wise, insightful or strong-willed...the weak-minded run away and hide. They take all their toys and go home.
I kill threads by being correct and having points that are impossible to trump (by the uninitiated/uneducated/unread masses)
It's lonely at the top.
