I am a grandmother



I did not carry, but I was almost killed a few decades back, I was almost raped but was not. I am petite, but I fought with everything I had



after that, I felt compelled to buy a gun.



I would prefer not to use it,but want my options available



Likewise, I do not hunt, but if a bear were going to attack...or a pack of fisher cats...I will practice...to shoot another day


I also have farmers in my family who regularly shoot 12 gauge and 409 and have protected the family farm from civil war days...and hostiles


The greater the force attempting tonrestrict and disarm, the more important to hold your arms and know how to use them responsibly



Also, I do not run around in riot gear either...

People never knew how armed we were in OK. The fact is, don't come around flashing a pistol pal, we got rifles to deal with that.

I will put this to you: of all my friends I am not the strongest. I am a thinker, but so are they. They impress each day with their knowledge. I am strong, but am not as strong as the group. Some are faster some are stronger, all are wise. They humble me.

How is it that when there is a criticism on guns supporters pull the constitution, grandmas and crime out their asses.

1) Do you really trust your 80 year old grandmother living in a nursing home handling a gun?

2) The second Amendment is intentionally misrepresented go back and read it again. It was not designed to be used as a profit generator for Remington et al.

3) Crime - hmm lets see, Arizona the so called premier open carry state logged a whopping 233,896 offenses including 354 murders,6800 robberies,burglaries 0ver 48,0000 rapes 1557. So this is not about crime, grandma or the second amendment all used as excuses and to rally the troops.

Its based on a bad premise, pushed by bad people, and done in bad faith leading to a public safety disaster. Wonder where the Refugees from oklahoma gonna go, every american is grossly intolerant of immigration.

FYI I am a gun owner, and am intimately familiar with guns. However, I dont have or need it to make me safe, I dont need or use it for protection, I dont carry it with me nor do I want to. I can barely keep up with my car keys and cell as it is. What I do, do is I use it to hunt when the feeling comes over me and I have a hankering for Vension, Hog or some fowl.

I'm not actually someone who starts shooting for no reason. My guns are kept in a safe. I use them mostly to target shoot and to feel safe in my home.

Do most non gun owners think we sit around hoping to shoot people? Haha. That's funny. Ahh, no we don't.

What do you want to know? Once I tried to chase a deer down on foot to catch it until it turned and started beating the crap out of my dog, I learned that sitting in a blind and waiting for vension to come to me much much more convenient.

Wore a gun on my hip for many years as part of my previous job.

You know what I learned?

1) Its best to talk them down than to chase them down. It may take longer but its a whole lot safer.

2) People really are stupid, some are really really stupid. People with guns legal or illegal are even stupider than the really really stupid ones.

3) I dont go in the bush to hunt with guns with just anyone, so why the hell would I want to drive down the freeway, with people who have guns on their hips looking and acting totally stupid.

People, here is the real deal, a gun is a tool. A saw can be badly used and cause harm, as can a hammer.

Quit picking on the gun. If it is used by a law abiding citizen then it is fine...

haha the redneck ranchers will open carry outside the voting area when presidential election is happening , just like the black panthers did in 2009.

4) there was a good valid reason why open carry guns were banned back in the day bringing civilization to the west. We have forgotten why.

I like handguns, but they are illegal in my country. That said, the thought of people in my community walking around with weapons, makes my blood run cold. But that might be because we have a much lower rate of gun related crime here, so I'm not as fearful for my life as the OP seems to be.

It aint the gun I got a problem with. Its the jackasses holding it that I take issue with. I can tell when someone has a concealed weapon, The pop their hips when they walk just before they "casually" show it. What they dont know is if taken in the right way, they have just committed an aggravated assault well in this state anyway.

Remember this when it comes to guns, there aint no such thing as a law abiding citizen with a gun on his or her hip.

The post was getting too long so I shortened it, hope you dont mind. I will tell you some more about me. Been around guns since I was a child. the sight and smell of blood used to make me faint. College educated, well rounded thought I was smart.

I ve seen so much blood and bodies in the streets in my city that Im no longer screamish around blood. Out of an eight hour shift I would see and smell blood four to five hours of said shift.

Bodies of American citizens in every form of decomposition imaginable, fresh kills to the not so fresh kills, to been dead, men, women, children. Seen heads blown off, brain matter dripping off the ceiling, hands shot off, Dicks mangled by idiots who seem to love sitting on guns as they drive down the streets(lol).

All caused by reasonable people with control of their faculties. Guns like liquor and drugs gives people a false sense of identity, the gun makes them do things and go places that they normally wont go. God forbid the dumbasses gets drunk or high and have a gun. In all of the interviews I have been involved in I heard I didnt mean to, I didnt think.., I dont believe that I am capable of doing that, then theres the truly arrogant, Its not my fault. If you dont think guns makes people think they are more powerful than they are, youre lying to yourself and I hope youre not.
