Pink Sea Salt deposits are found in the Himalayan and Andes mountain ranges. During the Jurassic period the ocean floor buckled upwards forming the mountains and trapping the sea salt.

It contains 82 trace minerals incuding calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and gold giving it a marbled pink colour.

I never use table salt. There is Celtic sea salt and unusual Hawaiian coloured salts to choose from it just depends on the minerals giving the colour. Its the mineral content I am after not so much the salt.

Its readily available in the UK, just use what you can get access to remember you only need small quantities.
