wasn't referring to any type of individuality.
rather a description of an interior location that is enclosed but not bound by the 3rd dimensional physical universe.

we all are familiar with the analogy of a balloon representing the expanding universe with the universe existing only on the outside skin of the balloon. now imagine being located in the interior and looking up at the universe and being able to have a complete 360 view. you would be able to see everything from that vantage point. there would be no time or space that was not accessible.
of course this is only a figurative analogy.
