Quoting: Medic .... did you click on the link? The streaks??? NexRad stations are not cell phone towers.... anybody else??????? I never said Nexrad stations are cell phone towers. The radar.weather.gov shows a cell phone tower interference, the other site, I do not know what those streaks are, never seen them before. Gotcha gotcha, well, at least you see what I'm seeing with the streaks.... I don't understand how someone can say we aren't seeing them orrrr we are seeing the wedges of an unfinished radar sweep... not at all what those are. Thanks for the input! |

Are they're NexRad stations out in the middle of the ocean to create such anomalies!? orrrrr are these objects of some kind? |

"The streaks are happening because....." Try that... Orrr multiple streaks can be seen on radar moving from east to west across the country over the course of three hours because..... and then really explain it... if you can't do that, get off the thread... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 774195 United States 05/30/2012 10:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just in case you aren't confused yet, there's this: "Anomalous Propagation (AP) is a false reflectivity echo on radar; an echo that is not precipitation. Radar return from AP is unpredictable, often contaminates precipitation measurements and can cause the generation of erroneous rainfall estimates used in hydrology products." [link to www.srh.noaa.gov] Looks like the wool being pulled over our eyes every night to me. |

[link to www.srh.noaa.gov] Looks like the wool being pulled over our eyes every night to me. It can look like that but this is a little different. The processing for the web is less filtered and accurate than the data sent to the air travel industry. If it was AP they would not have all been showing at 10 o'clock on the sweep face. The video I posted does show likely AP as it is in random positions on the individual station sweeps. |
