Two-year-old Keira Holmes died and 19-year-old Emmett Allen was injured in a similar fashion when they were caught in the crossfire during a shooting about 4:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Erato Street.

An early investigation revealed that Allen was walking in the area when gunmen in two vehicles began to fire at him. The man ran into a courtyard where children played; the gunmen continued to fire, striking the toddler in the head.

Keira died a short time later at a local hospital.

Nothing, nada, zip.. You folks aren't just a little put off by the brazen senseless acts by these barbaric people in New Orleans..

Someone I know just came back from NO and said it is a sh**hole and not just due to Katrina damage, according to them it's obvious it's been nasty, dirty and mostly inhabited by people who just don't care for at least a couple of generations.
