as much as i wish the doom would hurry up and happen we must realize that unless we are predicting some type of major country failing or major global event that no economic data coming out tomorow or any time soon is going to cause any real carsh. anything less than 3% is not a carsh and it really needs to be over 5 in mho. This euro crisis has been going on for yrs now. the 10yr and 30yr are very interesting though. cant figure out why anyone would lend our gov't money at 1.62% inflation is higher than that. the carsh could also be sparked by the tax rate hike on dividends and captial gains set to kick in next yr. something like 43% on dividends, wtf that is crazy talk. and 35% on capital gains if i remember correctly. might as well start betting on sports, atleast the bookie only wants 10%. i dont see why the gov't thinks it deserves 1/3 of the money i earn.last part is off topic, sorry.

Absolutely DIRE. The Yen is also in free fall not necessarily with the charts or fall of the dollar but in retraction. No goods being bought means slave labor goes from 30 cents a day to 15 cents. The price of oil in barrels has decreased yet we are paying more at the pump in order to neutralize profits.

Very important US economic data coming out tomorrow & Friday. Also tomorrow night China releases it's Manufacturing PMI numbers at 10pm est.

So if all these economic numbers are bad there is the potential for a large percentage decline. However if the numbers are stronger than expected market will take off on the upside. Short term market is very oversold & needs an excuse to rally & screw the shorts.

Well your assessment seems logical but than we get into the labor statistics and see that worldwide we are not producing shit and the workforce has not only diminished but are requesting gubment assistance. The average family which was the middle class are now in free fall. Food stamps, WIC,free state health insurance etc.. has been the norm. 20,000 people showing up for 200 jobs is the equation; unless there is a massive war or total overhaul of the world economic system we will continue to to spiral. I do not want either because it does not benefit the people only the conglomerates, but this is the system our predecessors gave to us knowing it's future.
